I'd settle for the giant hook myself.

Great recap, SV.

Oh, Sanjaya? You forgot to brush those Oreos crumbs off your upper lip before coming onstage. Attention to detail, people.
Great recap!

She is only the third singer Tony has heard, too, so make what you will of that.
The order the constestants see Tony Bennett has nothing to do with the order they sing on the night of the show. The producers pick the order of appearance on the show well after they've met with Tony. Melinda could have been the last Idol he saw for all we know.

Good recap of each performance! Reading this I could picture each performance as if I was watching it!

All-in-all, it was about as exciting as oatmeal with no lumps, water-flavored jello, or a Tony Bennett album.

Simon immediately interjects with a “What!?” [pronounced “Wot!?”] of disbelief.

Census-flavored jello.

Tony likes him, finds him interesting, and thinks he sings very well. Okay, Tony, senility has set in, and it’s time to go back to the home.

Get the fork, please.

Ain’t Misbehavin’, but Almost!
That was a wonderful recap SV. Thank you so much for filling in for me, and doing it with such style. Great job!
