Bethenny Getting Married?

Loved the show tonight! Bethenny in Costco, HI-LAR-I-OUS!!!! When she was talking to the Brtish lady about childbirth, loved it!! She would be funny just talking or doing a book or show about her pregnancy. Bethenny would have benefitted fromwedding planner who understood pregnancy hormones on top of wedding pressure with type-A personality. I think she would have done slightly better with a female planner or better gay planner like donnie Brown from Texas. She was so cute in the store shopping for maternity clothes. I just wanted to hug her and say slow down. Oddly enough she could've used "good" Jill helping her at the moment. However, the price of dealing with "bad" Jill wouldn't be worth the added stress. I thought the sash was really cute on both Bethenny & Jason, lol. Great show really lifted my spirits today!

In my book people are entitled to have whatever wedding they want, be it a simple backyard affair or an extravagant wedding at the Four Seasons with 300 guests. I also believe that there are people out there who can afford a wedding at the Four Seasons and still have sufficient life experience to relate to people who cannot.

I completely agree with you on this. Some people can afford lavish weddings and they shouldn't have to censor their wedding dreams and plans because some of us can't afford it. What bearing does Bethenny's expensive wedding have on my life? Absolutely none, aside from the fact that I'll enjoy watching it!

Someone mentioned the cost of her gown. I can't speak to the exact price of her exact gown but if I recall correctly she chose an Amsale design. I wore an Amsale gown when I married my ex. I bought it at a sample sale, but full retail would've been $3500-ish. So we can't necessarily say Bethenny's dress cost upwards of $6000. Maybe it did - but not necessarily.

Maybe her comments on the $40 napkin rings were a little snarky, but I don't really think she was being nasty. The comment didn't bother me, and I'd have a hard time coming up with $40 for a wedding gift right now. That's my life and my situation - not Bethenny's. She was in the moment, joking around about napkin rings she didn't even end up registering for. Yet we see it recorded and played out on television, perhaps watching it more than once, and have time to analyze her words and motives.

All in all, I am a fan of the woman and of this show. I missed last night's episode, definitely looking forward to catching up online!

Yeah, not the wedding so much as laughing at the thought of a $40 wedding gift. But, then, when nothing but the Four Seasons will do, what else would you expect.

And, why, oh, why, if her wedding planner annoyed her so much did she bring him to the hairdresser with her? That was nonsense. He didn't need to be there. She truly gets louder and obnoxious by the week. Also, she may get more done in a day if she isn't hobbling, while pregnant and running errands, on 6 inch heels. Honestly, she IS her own worst enemy. No one treats Bethenny worse than Bethenny does. I could only watch in 30 spurts last night, because she's just. So. Obnoxious.

Oh, and she yells out something about cashews and penis falling off in the middle of Costco, and then acts embarrassed and shushes Jason for saying "cooch?"

She didn't even know he was going until her assistant told her it was the only time that she could fit him in to discuss wedding stuff.

Then she should have told him not to come. She's a grown up, she can decide who and who doesn't get to go to her hairdresser Instead, she let him come so she could use him for a punching bag. It simply does not make sense unless she wanted him around so she could bitch and act like she didn't want him around. If the planner was so bad, then why did she admit to taking her frustrations out on him? Whose idea was it to get married in a few short weeks? Not his. He's trying to get the job done and she acts like he's mean mommy making her do things she doesn't want to do. Instead of talking to him like a grown up, she sends him off so she can talk about him behind his back.

So, now she's a victim of the wedding planner? That's a riot. Tough-talking Bethenny can't handle a wedding planner.

And she looked like an idiot running around Costco. That was so fake.

It doesn't look like she discussed anything with him. She sent him off so she could rip him up behind his back instead. Which is, of course, her usual style.

I'm a big Bethenny fan, but once again I saw her mean streak last night. I really hope she saves it for the camera, because I can't imagine her husband tolerating that for very long. I thought her comments to the two ladies in the casino were a little uncalled for and then to make a smart comment when one of them fell down was rather mean. The lady could have fractured her spine for all she knew. Bethenny just cracked another joke and kept walking and laughing. That's not hormones, that's just being mean and insensitive.


Why do you think Jason had to make so many comments about him marrying his best friend, who is male. I thought that a little odd.

It's hard to believe so few people came to her book signing. I would think there would be big lines. At least she was honest about it. Oh, I'm like she was in Costco, so I can believe it. LOL

She comes up with some pretty funny remarks, but it's exhausting to see her race around. Is it Jason who is insisting upon a wedding of this size? What if they just invited family and close friends to meet them at the court house for their marriage and then went out to a restaurant afterwards?

She should have been thinking of her growing baby when she was getting so upset about this stuff. Either lower your expectations, delegate stuff or put the wedding off until later. I realize that's moot by now - she is already married, with a baby.

This is why I love reality TV. Because I can snark, and, by and large, whomever I'm snarking deserves it. Why watch it otherwise? These people are certainly nothing to aspire to, and are rarely well-adjusted, nice or even happy.

I do like to keep my comments limited to the show and it's characters, and not to other posters. After all, this would be the appropriate forum in which to comment to the show, good or bad.
