I agree that Bravo probably pays the bills. Thank God I have no experience with bankruptcy, but as I understand it, one can still have cash on hand - bankruptcy means you can't pay the total of all of your bills, so everything is frozen with your creditors until you can work it out - they can't sue you, you can't borrow. The courts don't necessarily come along and clean out your bank accounts first (as they do with seniors going into nursing homes , but I digress). From what I've seen, people pretty much go along with their lives under bankruptcy (they get a nasty credit ding) while they're negotiating settlements - and I understand they can't incur any more debt until everything is resolved. Anyone know if this is correct?

Like you, SugarMama, I know nothing about bankruptcy (thanks goodness) but all you wrote makes sense.
But the older I get, the more I learn about how "business" is run: I'm thinking this may all be a ploy so that the film company goes after Sonja and not her ex, J.Morgan, who has far more to lose than she does. Sonja probably knows all this and playing dumb is just the role she plays in the "bankruptcy scene."
Her ex will probably cough up some nice under-the-table money for her when everything is resolved. Nothing is as it seems.

Didn't Sonja say on the episode filmed when she filed bankruptcy that she was advised to do so by her lawyers because of the judgement against her and her production company? That it was a move done to protect all her assets while the judgment was appealed and issues sorted out? I don't think that she is hurting for cash. I think though that she doesn't have $7 million laying around to pay the judgment.

Re: The Real Housewives of New York

I know less about personal bankruptcy than business bankruptcy and I don't know what chapter she filed under. That being said, generally when companies reorganize, while they are working out a settlement that works for the creditors, they are able to continue with business. In addition, banks and other companies that agree to continue working with them as they are working through the bankruptcy are allowed to be paid - or else the company would fold and there would be no money left to work out a settlement with. If Sonja filed under chapters 11 (for her business) or 13 (for herself), both of these chapters are reorganization chapters, so that may explain some of it. If she filed under Chapter 7, she would be liquidating - and at that point it is closer to what you would think of where you pool all your money together, distribute as much as you can to creditors and then receive a discharge of the obligations. Hope this helps.

I've been rewatching the episode-before-last, and I noticed something I'd missed before (don't know if someone walked in, I took a bathroom break, whatever). It's when Cindy is visiting her parents. I could NOT believe that Cindy could only manage to take one child along to see grandma and grandpa...she didn't even know how to place her in a child seat? couldn't handle the child at the table? had to call her office to send someone to help? Hello, Cindy - why did you have children, again? I got the impression she spends a minimal amount of time with them and doesn't know how to take care of them. That's kind of scary to me, and most importantly VERY sad, if true.

Rewatching last episode...LuLu's Music Man -- this guy obviously isn't blind, so why does he wear dark (really dark) glasses indoors? Too cool for school?

A pregnancy test for Ramona? Settle down...she's over 50. If she's "late" she's being normal as the system goes into dry dock. Good drama, though

I have to say....I think Cindy was the Queen of Rude by acting the way she did at Sonja's house for breakfast. Rude, rude, rude, rude. She just should've have rescheduled.

I mean, seriously - Cindy, the woman who has given birth to twins but can't take at least one to see her parents without calling for help from staff?

Re: The Real Housewives of New York

So much to talk about in tonight's episode.
I could not believe Cindy's extreme rudeness at Sonja's house. Even a prehistoric caveman would know better than to act the way she did. I continue to be jaw-dropping amazed at how full of themselves these women are! Had I been Sonja, I would have politely removed all the food, drinks, etc from Cindy and said, "Please....don't let me and my silly breakfast keep you from more important things" and escort her out of the house. And why do you have babies if you can't/won't take care of them? Maybe she could put them in frames, on the wall and call them art and her greatest achievement because her definition of being a mother is way way different than mine.

Alex is right that a classy person would never talk about "class" but she blew her cover of acting like someone with class by even bringing up the topic of class, a definite no-no.

Luann can dish it out but she can't take it. She didn't like Ramona's below the belt reference to The Duke's philandering but she got in her dig about Mario and the fortune teller's prediction. Also, by pretending to be a pop singer, making a music video, etc totally negated her professed "class." She is such a transparent joke, trying soooo hard to be something she's not. People with old money, good breeding and taste are hard to name by the general public because they keep a very low profile, known mostly by their similar circle of friends. Sometimes you see them at some charitable party but to make a musical video, using auto-tune??? not hardly. What a dumb bunny Luann is.

Jill is still so full of her own self-importance. She now bores me.

I would be very surprised if Ramona is pregnant. 55 yrs old is pretty darn old to be pregnant. Although she looks fabulous for her age. (must make a note to remind myself to invite Ramona to any party....because w/o her there, a party just isn't a party (or so she believes).

And once again, more bon mots from Kelly: "Why hope to roll a 7? Why not a 6? You shouldn't discriminate between numbers. They're all good."

I sure do love these women!!! This is Comedy of Life at it's finest!!

Re: The Real Housewives of New York

Last night's episode gave me some inspiration. LOL I'm serious. It made me think of some things I need to investigate. I think I need to get into some dance classes to brush up on my dance moves. I'm still doing the same old moves I learned growing up starting in the 70's- 90's. (I can do some swing, but the solos stuff needs an update.) I can just see me now as I hit the dance floor at my niece's wedding reception next month and bust out my new moves!!!! LOL Pretty cool for a woman my age.

I was curious with Luanne's hairstyle for the video. Those tight curls must have put 15 years onto the woman. Is that in style now? PLEASE. Now that hairstyle is something Luann SHOULD have gotten into rage about.

When Luann and Ramona were in that shop having their discussion, I got the feeling that Luann was REALLY ticked off. I know the show is scripted, but I think she really was upset. Do I feel a blow up at the reunion show when they really confront each other?

Cindy is a total mystery to me. How in God's name she is capable of running her corp that consist of several stores across the country is beyond me. I wouldn't bet money she was smart enough to get her self out of a paper bag. Life is so unfair sometimes. I think that eventually, we will get the scoop on her. Often things are not as they appear.

I would love to stop my Sonya's for a toaster egg sandwich! It seemed quite nice. I can see myself having fun with her. I would leave my phone off though.
Does anyone know why Sonya's daughter is never shown? Has she ever been shown?
