I also agree. THere is something real and relatable about things that happen on the show with genuine relationships. When they manufacture friendships, and manufacture drama around them, it's hard to get emotionally invested as a viewer, because you know the people on the show are not emotionally invested.

Hmmmm, Salsa party was interesting. Lydia really had it in for Slade and Gretchen! She decided to be offended by Slade's little joke and couldn't let it go. I think she's carrying some baggage from Mexico since she ended up on the receiving end of Gretchen's wrath as one of the three who ditched Gretch and Heather. I think someone's been whispering in her ear about Slade, too. How else would she know the "Miss Piggy" story, since she says she never watched the show?

I didn't start watching RHOC until after Laurie was gone and all I know about her is what I've read here. Not so good! So, what is she doing there? All she does is spill nasty dirt about Vicky (which I happen to be enjoying since Vicky is right up there with Teresa on my 'hate' chart.) Vicky must be having fits as she watches the show air along with us! Al this dirty laundry coming out about the 'queen bee'. Funny how Laurie talks about her daughter being friends with some unsavory character that Brooks is cheating on Vicky with. I've read here that Laurie's children are not of the highest character themselves, and they've not fallen far from a pretty rotten tree.

I think we're beginning to see the reason Gretchen wasn't in Tamra's bridal party. Her jealousy is turning her an unappealing shade of green!

I believe the relationship Vicki & Tamra is real. I mean two miserable old sows together in miserable bliss

IDK...I think Lydia was quickly becoming this season's Quinn...boring so she/Andy decided to up her drama factor. What could she possibly have in common with Vicky other than Vicky is her Mom's age??? I know I wouldn't want to hang out with people that much older than me. I gt old to eat a cupcake more times than I can remember. I tell that person to go buy me one & I will eat it...sheesh!

I like Lydia, but she is kind of boring. Her mom is a treasure, though. I'd like to see more of her. Every franchise needs an excentric mom - or lesbian cousin. Something to give the shows a little boost

I like Lydia too but she is boring. She's probably the most normal person on all the housewife shows. I get her directness and "deal with things now" attitude. Gretchen is really weird and possessive of Tamara. I love that Tamara isn't going to give into her stupid little "I'm not going to play with you if you play with Alexis" crap. I used to like Gretchen, but she really is stupid. I don't like how she brings up Slade's kid as how it changed her whole perspective on life and priorities, blah blah blah; um didn't she have a fiance that died of cancer? It seems like that would have helped her to focus on what matters in life instead of being the vapid stupid little control freak that she is now.

As far as Lydia is concerned, I cannot believe how she went on and on and on about Slade calling her a "cheeseburger" and insisting that she was standing right there and that she heard him and WHY O WHY didn't he have the decency to say it to her face.......

YET after we were allllllll so tired of her talking about Slade whispering something to Gretchen while she could hear it.......Lydia then turns around and does everything she asked Slade to NOT do by whispering under her breathe but loud enough for us to hear her call Gretchen "Malibu Beach Barbie".

What an idiot you are, Lydia. So you can't take it but you sure can dish it. Gawd.

Lydia was totally ridiculous going on and on and on about Slade's remark....as much as I enjoy someone telling Slade off, she took it to far, especially for the hostess of the party. Usually when you're hosting a party, you overlook a lot of things and try and keep the party fun with as little unpleasantness as possible. But not Lydia. And besides, it's not like she did anything more than pick up the phone and hire a party planner.
What gets me about Lauri telling all these tales about Vicki.....and I love hearing them!.....is that no one thinks about the fact that Lauri's daughter has a good friend who's a stripper, porn star and perhaps she has other activities also..... I would hate it if my daughter had a friend like that, probably not tell anyone she has that friend and have a long talk with my daughter.

The only thing that stood out for me in this whole episode was the highlighted part above. I would certainly not advertise the sleazy friends my daughter ran around with. Doesn't look good for her parenting skills, which we already know she doesn't have any.

I believe it is because we have all become jaded to the point that no one thought it surprising that Laurie does have a daughter who is the stripper.
