Re: The Real Housewives of Orange County

Well, the reunion reminded me of The View!! Way too much talking at once. Hard to watch.
Tamra looks horrid for a 43 yr. old woman. Her face is beginning to resemble the blowfish we used to catch as a kid. Their faces blew up once you took the hook out of their mouths. And, they didn't have the added Botox!
I liked that Andy tried to step in to at least defend Slade. He said that Slade really was brutally honest about things this season. In the first season - with Jo - he was a young man who became pompous and arrogant by earning a ton of $$ when the CA RE market was hot. Now, the market is like ice and he readily admits to his lesser income. Not many men or women would do that. Say what you will about Slade, I give him credit for showing the world that he's fallen and he admits it.
Tamra seems to think she can judge the whole world, but nobody can judge her. Simon may have been controlling when they were together, but I have no doubt that if anyone was physically abusive, it was Tamra. She's got an awfully low boiling point and that's obvious.
I'd love to know what Vicki's daughter, Brianna, thinks of Tamra.
To me, Briana is perhaps the only one who has any common sense in the whole bunch.
Donn is lucky to be rid of the pig. Sorry, but she really looked like Elmer Fudd on the reunion. Hard to watch.

I wish there were a "Double Like" button - I agree with everything you said.

Once I knew a guy who was in constant child support battles with his ex. When child support was established, he paid no problem. But he had a sports injury and had to have knee surgery, couldn't work for many months (lost that job because of it), then the job market hit a downturn. His wife was constantly drawing him into legal battles (costing money for attorney fees), suing for past due money (even though he wasn't earning any income, didn't have disability insurance). The interest kept building up on the past-due amount. When he finally GOT another job, he couldn't keep up with the past amounts plus the current amounts, which the ex had the courts raise, btw, while he was on crutches. It was a horrible, horrible mess. Last I heard he'd remarried, but he couldn't have his name on any property he and his wife "owned" because the ex had put liens on any future properties of his to pay back child support. Crap happens.

Re: The Real Housewives of Orange County

Funny, I disagree with everything you say about Slade but that is what these forums are about, stating your opinion and my opinion is that Slade needs to look into a new field because the high life of the mortgage broker is OVER! Done...kapish...over...no more saving that job....instead of being a bellhop and errand boy for Gretchen, I bet the courts would appreciate him going back to school and learning a new trade. Gretchen mentioned that Slade is out there marketing and trying to get leads? leads for what? IMHO, he is a deadbeat dad...he mentioned that he paid child support..but never said how much he paid....heck, he could send his baby mamas $5 each and say that he paid child support and not be lying. I give him and Gretchen 6 months tops.....
As for Tamra....I still think she looks pretty dang good for a 43 year old woman....I would not exactly call her "horrid" looking ... have you ever watched the show Intervention and they show these women that are 20 something years old and they look like hell? Now, that is HORRID looking....Tamra is far from horrid looking albeit she does wear too much makeup and has a few wrinkles here and there...but she is far from horrid.
Vicki does have somewhat of a turned up nose which gives her a piggish look....she has been through a lot lately, she works hard and I give her credit.
She needs to chill and learn to relax...it must not be easy to be working all those hours and then stick to a filming schedule with Bravo especially while going through a divorce... I am giving her some credit.
I give zero credit to Alexis and her dancing around her financial woes....admit it Alexis, you and your perfect christian family lived far beyond your means and you lost your home so that you could buy many pairs of designer shoes and clothes, drive the best cars, have nannies, get botox, etc......now you lost your house... boo hoo I would give her and Jim 6 months max too but I doubt anyone wants either one of them.....she has way too much baggage and he is gross!

Re: The Real Housewives of Orange County

Let me preface this by saying that I spent the day watching 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade boys in line waiting for a water slide. All of them were laughing hysterically, standing there doing armpit farts (watching them was funnier than what they were laughing about, but I digress).

As I sat there, I was also thinking about the OC Housewives Reunion. I thought to myself: Tamra often looks like she's smelled a fart .

Then I thought: Vicky looks like she heard the fart .

And then: Peggy looks like she actually did the deed and soon says "So what? I don't care"' and adds sarcastically, "I'm sure Alexis farts twice as much as I do anyway. "

Gretchen looks both happy and frustrated at Vicky and Tamra's disgust at someone farting and giggles at herself...

and Alexis is confused, wondering if it was really a fart or just something that seemed to be a fart...she's going to ask Jim .

Sorry to offend if I did, the mind can wander in some interesting directions sometimes

Wow, this seems like the "I hate Tamra" discussion thread. lol. I actually find Tamra amusing and, quite frankly, I understand her frustration with Jeana. I think she's a good mother, she doesn't ask Simon for alimony. She's a good person overall. I prefer her personality to Jeanna's.

Vicki has grown so much this season. I think she was simply honest about her relationship with Don. It couldn't go any further. I completely understand why she would choose work if she thought going home would mean idle conversation Don with and sleeping with her back to him. Being with him was probably just as lonely as being alone. I think she did the right thing.

Gretchen was definitely more petty and unlikeable this season. I'm not certain what to think about her. Apparetly she has lawsuites against her and there's picture evidence of her cheating on her fiance while he was in the hospital. She's either a very undeserving victim or a really good liar.

Alexis is good entertainment but she's not the brightest bulb. I would bet money that Jim cheats on her. He seems like the slimy dishonest type. He's not an honorable guy. He considers himeself superior to women, a trait Alexis reinforces with her "liberal women" BS. Why would he remain faithful to a person who he doesn't view as his equal? I will feel very sorry for Alexis as she ages because she doesn't have much to offer beyond looks.

I like Peggy. It's pretty obvious that her concerns are valid, Alexis was one upping her whenever possible. She wasn't making it up, we all saw it. I think she's been pretty reasonable this season.

Did you watch the two prior seasons? Just from those two alone, Tamra has done nothing but hound Gretchen. Questioning her relationship with Jeff, trying to sniff out info on her being unfaithful to him, being jealous of Gretchen, "hosting" a party and encouraging tequila shots being lavished on Grethen hoping to get her "naked wasted" as she whispered to Vicky, accusing her of being a paid companion instead of a fiance to Jeff ..... then, Questioning her relationship with Slade, pursuing info on his child suppport situation with his ex, still digging at Grethen over Jeff, being jealous of Gretchen, sniping and sneering at Gretchen not only on the show but in the press, blogs, etc. ... then (current season) she freaks out when Jeana sides with Simon after Tamra accused Simon of abusing her by throwing a dog leash at her, had him arrested, he had to spend the night in jail, pay a $10,000 bond, and then Tamra has the GALL to slap Jeana with a stupid letter and throw wine all over her because Jeana dared to have an opinion and express it - at the party of her friend Vicky, who didn't want any drama, by the way?

Nope. Take dictionary, look up hypocrite ---> Tamra

Sorry, we'll have to agree to disagree

Omigosh....this just brought back a memory. I recall that just after the last season ended and the Tamra/Simon split occurred, HE filed for divorce claiming infidelity.

Does adultery disqualify a spouse from alimony? I'm not up on things like that (thank God!)

Tamra may be annoying but she cracks me up...she is good TV...as far as her doing "porn" give me a break....I do think she went a bit far...but porn? come on! I never understood why Bravo brought Gretchen on the series but her being "in love" with Slade speaks for her character. Alexis is the biggest hypocrite of all the housewives on all the series...I loved how the camera would switch to her when one of the other "wives" was talking about plastic surgery, most specifically duck lips...hahahahaha...Alexis and her duck lips...wtf? does she think that they look good with the pound of lip gloss to accentuate them? As far as Jeanna goes...who is she to talk about Tamra's dysfunction when she is the most dysfunctional of them all...her husband sleeps on the couch while she and her new boyfriend sleep in their bed? And her reason for not finishing her divorce is because there is too much paperwork? Got anything else to do Jeanna? Oh yeah, that's right you're too busy sticking your nose in everyone else's business. And PLEASE GET SLADE OFF MY TELEVISION SCREEN!!!!!!!!!!

I also agree with luvsginger. And why all the Vicki bashing? I personally thought Don was really cruel with his comments to Vicki-- from season 1, up to and including this year. Who knows why Vicki works so much? She was unhappy and felt unloved from the very first--and for sure, Don was never warm, or loving. Doesn't anyone here notice how he acts toward her? Maybe Vicki's controlling and all-- but no one deserves the indifference and unkindness that Don dishes out. I would live at the office too, if that was what I got at home.

And that whole scene at the "fashion show" when Gretchen suggested that Vicki was lying about being in the hospital--- what kind of person thinks someone does that?? And to say that Tamra should ignore Vicki and not bring everyone down or "ruin" the show-- is just so hard-hearted.
