Ironcat, That makes perfect sense now.
I wasn't sure where everyone lived and that the detour had just happened that day. Now I understand but still, Kyle seems to go out of her way to dump on Kim, who has no defense whatsoever in dealing with Kyle....and probablay never will.
I think they're co-dependent on each other and each knows the role she must play. Sad.

This made me smile. Last year when I was in London, the people there loved my accent (native Californian) and thought it sounded so "posh" (as they say).
Guess it just depends on which side of the pond you're on.

I would have thought so also but apparently, people are people, no matter what their circumstances are in life. I think they've learned to project a facade but deep down, we're all somewhat insecure.
I hate to do this but I find myself repeatedly quoting Countess Luann and her "Money Can't Buy You Class." Who knew she'd be so prophetic??!!

Wow - Damn, It never once crossed my mind to read up on Kelsey Grammer's bio, despite how long he's been so well known and highly regarded for his work on TV/stage. But I NEVER would've known or guessed that family-related tragedies as extreme and numerous had occured in his lifetime, most of which it seems were prior to his time on Cheers - (which began right around the year that I was born and ended when I was in fifth grade, so it's the first thing I remember him doing on TV - not sure if he had been on TV for anything prior to that...?) - but either way, he apparently dealt with tragedy throughout his career both before and during a time when he was so prominent on TV. It seems unreal that anyone would be able to gain the strength/motivation to focus their talents towards achieving a big-time career in Hollywood while simultaneously dealing with such tragic events and profound loss. His addiction issues seem almost understandable, even excusable, but also seem somewhat mild considering how not everyone would be able to cope with so many traumatic events without completely going off the deep end. So, I'll admit that when I read/saw him supporting a certain political party that I do NOT support or belong to, I was turned off and would try to ignore that by immediately thinking of him as Sideshow Bob, which of course, will always totally make Kelsey Grammer awesome. I could care less about his current marital issues. I will say that from what I just read above and learned about his personal life though, I have a new-found respect for him.

Re: The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

How ironic - Allison Dubois the TV character and Allison Dubois the real-life person are SO FAR from similar, based on the RH footage, that the concept of the TV character almost seems satirical. I'd seen the real-life Allison on a few small/quick TV appearances before, probably around the time that Medium became a popular show, but it's been a good long time since the last time I remember seeing her on TV and that was a one-time appearance on the "1 Vs. 100" panel (one of many primetime gameshows on TV at the time, if any of y'all aren't familiar), so not only was her role there fairly insignificant but that must've been something like 5 or 6 years ago..or possibly longer..? So her TV character is a totally likeable person who has nurturing, maternal qualities, a gentle nature and high sensitivity towards the well-being of others...the show of course is based loosely on her life as a medium/psychic, etc. but who wouldn't have thought or assumed that the writers included similar characteristic personality traits/qualities during the development of her as a character - one named FOR her in a show specifically related to HER OWN life? Hell, I totally figured that she probably was similar in manner to what was on TV. I only watched a few episodes of Medium in their entirety, but actually liked what I saw. I don't have a clue about any primetime CBS, NBC, & ABC shows, so I catch some things by accident, don't know when anything airs - totally have a lack of interest in sit-coms and the channel always gets turned/flipped past when I see one on, so I watch basicall nothing on these channels, except some news occasionally. But I totally bought into the Allison Dubois character and even though I didn't watch the show loyally or regularly, I was kinda bummed that Medium was getting cancelled. But now after getting a glimpse of the real-life Allison Dubois in action, I feel like if it weren't for my sympathy for the cast/crew/others related to the production of the show, including actual fans, I would be F-ING glad that it got cancelled, so it would slip into the realm of forgotten TV shows, never air as re-runs and would eventually earn $0 in sales or royalties because of it's total lack of worth - I'm surprised that I would seem to care so much, but it's simple - I was appalled by how MISERABLY HATEFUL and OBNOXIOUS the Real-Life Allison Dubois was when she showed up on the most recent RHofBH! First of all, what a random person to be on the show anyways, but her presence/role in the "highly anticipated" (thanks to Bravo's previews) dinner party/yelling match/fight was totally random and bizarre - and completely unnecessary, enough to think she didn't have any legitimate reason to be there at all, even though I know that the Grammer's produce Medium and she could be an actual friend of theirs, but she didn't seem to fit into the setting at all...and that's not even considering HER vile behavior - it's unbelievable how LOW and HATEFUL she was toward women she'd never met, while at a friend's home by invitiation, and WHILE BEING FILMED FOR A TELEVISION REALITY SHOW. This might be who she is and how she acts in real life, but with cameras around, people should be smart enough to use a personal filter to avoid looking like a complete dumbass or total bitch and being judged for it later on...and knowing that it will be played over and over again on TV and be available to the world on the internet. I mean, how embarassing for her family that she showed such VILE, tactless behavior with NO RESTRAINT (i don't think she had been drinking THAT much to make a difference, she was pretty articulate). And I don't know anything about her personal history or experiences as a psychic/medium, so I don't know how well-respected she is in that particular community or how's she's perceived by people who know her or are associated with her - But, after watching her act so DISGUSTINGLY AWFUL with such intent, she has absolutely lost ALL credibility or interest I might've given her (all of which came from a false representation of her on TV). If I had any reason ever to seek the help of a medium for ANY dire or critical reason, I would NEVER consider inviting a person as vile and vindictive as the real Allison Dubois apparently is into my life. Anyone who acted so terribly towards others and used their psychic abilities so offensively as a threat towards anyone and their family, doesn't seem like a person who has any personal qualities that would be found in anyone who is deserving of having been touched/gifted with such a remarkable ability. I'd be surprised if anyone could take her seriously if they saw that awful, shameful, miserably hateful display on TV. I can't believe I actually was affected this much by how someone acted on reality TV!! UGHHHH!!! And WHO smokes like that??? TOTALLY WEIRD, even uncomfortably BIZARRE to watch!!!!

I caught it before it got pulled, but it's up on some website called realcityhousewife. Maybe someone more adept than I am can link it. In it, Camille played the victim again, feigned innocence for orchestrating an ambush (she accused Kyle and Faye of it instead) and defended Allison's behavior. She did apologize to Kyle, but only about the Mauricio comments, and she also apologized to her two "bestest" friends for putting them in such an uncomfortable situation (neglecting to mention that they caused it). So basically, she showed once again that she is tonedeaf to the public's perception of her and the incident. The handful of comments on the blog before it got pulled (which are also on that website) were so brutal towards her that I suspect she made Bravo pull the whole thing.

I think the Kyle/Kim situation is a sister thing. Kim was the one who brought up the whole New York fiasco which it seemed that evryone was trying their best to ignore like an elephant in the room. Then she brought Taylor into it & KABOOM!
I doubt Kyle had planned on going out for drinks however I do think she needed some space from Kim for a bit. Having Kim join them wouldhave probably esculated the matter. This would have been great from BRAVO & us fans but this might have also put a wedge between Kim & Kyle.

Thank you, ironcat ... too bad she didn't learn from it. Loved the comments imbedded in her blog and the ones afterward.

I wish these people could see themselves as they come across to us. She obviously feels she's the empress of womanhood, when all we see is street cat who lucked into suckering an alcoholic into marriage.

Ok, Camille....we get it; you HATE Kyle and you ALWAYS take the high road. That is why you are mentioning her in every conversation and every frame that you get camera time and sending her random texts during public events to affirm to her that you HATE her. If she didn't have Kyle to be jealous of (i mean hate on); she might actually have to talk about her marriage or tell us how difficult it is to be her again.
