I had previously mentioned that I thought Teresa was completely set-up by Bravo (w/help from others from the cast). I think she knew that something was up...always is towards the end of season, making drama-filled Reunion. But I don't think she knew what exactly was going to happen....when she met Andre at the hair/makeup place, she had that dumb, faraway look on her face, like she's trying really hard to figure out what's happening, but she's slow about it......I"m sure most are familiar with this look on her face.
Then I happened to stumble upon a site that was really informative about what was going on....This new escapade being the most popular and prominent but there's lots of other stuff there also.
Really in-depth considerations....makes me wonder why they give it so much attention but heck..whatever works for you.
I'm unsure of the rules here but I think I can do a link...the site is called Fame-Whorgas
FAME-WHORGAS
It's really interesting and presented quite a case for Tre being set up. And a lot more info that I care to know about these people. :)
Very interesting link. I believe it too. There was never any question that Melissa and her mini Joe came on this show to steal some of Tre's thunder. So karma is kicking in and giving her a little embarrassment, good. I would not be surprised if her closet is full of things she doesn't want known. Melissa should have just stayed in the background where she should be.
Caught a little bit of a rerun of the most recent episode. Bald-guy, while claiming to have be the owner of a club at which Melissa danced "for him". He's now a grunt for somebody else at this salon, being told the basics of what to do. Can't help but believe that, at most, he may have been an assistant manager at the club. Also noticed that evil look of glee on Kim D's face when she started egging him on for information. Teresa looked totally befuddled, but with her obvious lack of brainpower, that is not surprising. I have little tolerance for people with a "slow processor" between their ears, whether it is their fault or not. Whether I should or shouldn't, I go into that "I-don't-have-time-to-wait-for-you" mode kind of easily.
I don't, however, tolerate people setting other people up, knowing that they are dealing with a malleable "mental midget". That's right up there with setting up a child....wrong on many, many levels.
Prhoshay, oh do I hear you on that! Taking time for dummies is so hard! I start grinding my teeth, my head starts to itch, I crack my neck, take deep breaths, and hope to gawd they get the words out, figure it out, do/say anything but please let's move on. Yes it's wrong to set up an overchallenged person; Teresa gets a trapped animal look on her face; I've seen that look on people in person, it's a tad pathetic.
Same thoughts struck me also....Bravo did a poor job w/this set-up but don't think they care as long as this produces all the hoop-la they want.
I finally feel sorry for Teresa...when the camera focuses on her face in this episode, at hair salon and at the dinner, pre-fashion show, you could see how hard she was struggling to figure out what was going on.
I also liked how the article in the link pointed out how Jacqueline waved to him as he approached the table, how everyone else, except Mel and Tre, totally ignored this guy, when they were all questions and attention with good ol' Juicy-brother...who they most likely could figure out who he was since he looked sooooo much like Juicy.
That's just odd behavior of these other women. Kathy had already mentioned that she saw a lot of men there and Richie would have come....so why wasn't she interested in this new guy who talked to Tre and Mel??? Any other day in the year all of them would have wondered who the heck he was!!!
A lot of this stuff slips right by me so I'm glad to have these sites that fill me in, w/o having to dedicate all that much time to figuring out these motives of Bravo and their Programed Housewives...Unlike Stepford Wives who were robots for their husbands, Bravo simply pays these Housewives to do what they want them to do.
Money and Fame is all it takes.
I, too, actually felt sorry for Tre in this episode.
This whole episode seems the most staged of any.
Teresa, however, had a total look of bewilderment on her face. Kim D. is absolutely a sleazebag. She and her sister in law, Kim G. must have been cut from the same cloth. Horrible!
I was startled by how naturally pretty Tre is without her makeup! Why do these women wear so much makeup, anyway??!!
I saw Caroline on something - WWHL, perhaps? - and she commented on how much she dislikes seeing herself in the epis this season because she feels like she was just so angry all the time.
As far as Rich, it's a tossup for me as to who's the bigger pervert - he or Joe Gorga - Melissa's husband!
They both make me want to take a shower! ;)
Last night I was meeting girlfriends for a ladies nite out. We where meeting at a local casino, we don't go to gamble, just to eat & gossip. Saw that Melissa Gorga was going to be there to greet her "fans".
We went somewhere else. I am so over RHWNJ!
Stopped watching awhile back but I still read this thread. So Theresa was introduced to this strip club owner by Kim & was told that Melissa worked for him. IDK but if I were trying to rebuild my relationship with my brother & SIL I think I would have called Melissa & her the heads-up about this. She had to of known full well that Kim was up to something.
This show makes me SICK!
I don't quite see the whole innocent-and-confused act that Teresa put on at the salon while Kim D was putting the whole your-sister-in-law danced for this guy story on the camera. Given that Tre was supposedly spreading this rumor, and that that Kim G. motives were not exactly unclear--and that Tre did nothing to warn Melissa, or to prevent the guy from confronting Melissa when he approached the table, I'd say Tre knew exactly what Kim D was up to.
Where's the Tre who's got a terrible temper, who can't stand Kim D and who who throws over a table when Danielle suppposedly threatens her friends? The -oh-my-my-what-shall I do-my-heart-heart-is-racing scenario leaves me unconvinced. The only thing is that she basically can't act her way out of a paper bag-- and she actually seemed pretty confused. On the other hand, maybe that comes so naturally to her that it isn't hard to fake.
Tre may be dumb, but this isn't neuroscience-- she looked pathetic, but meanwhile, let Kim D do all this dirty work while she let out not a peep?
The moment I saw Tre behaving all innocent and not wanting to hear a rumor/maybe fact about Mego, was the EXACT moment I KNEW Tre was acting. She has spread all sorts of rumors about Mego from the minute she met her, so does she really think when some guy walks up to her with HUGE scoop, that she isn't going to lap that up?
