Re: The Real Housewives of New Jersey

Joe Guidice (love how even Teresa isn't sure how she wants it pronounced) is a small, bitter man who has convinced himself that the world is out to get him and he's done nothing wrong.

He has made horrible remarks about Teresa and his marriage, and how it came about. He put out there that she came back to him, after he had washed his hands of her and her family. He treats her horribly, and she's just fooling herself when she tries to convince the world - and herself - that "that's just Joe! Isn't he great?" Um. NO. At some point you must teach your girls that they do not have to allow themselves to be treated without respect.

I think if you can hack off Chris Laurita, you've really done something. Joe went into that meeting with a bottle of wine intending to cause friction. Nothing is his fault, and by default Teresa is innocent also.

Everything he does is bigger and better, and everything you've accomplished is due to his influence.

No one buys that Teresa is still going on this trip to heal the relationship with her brother. She's forcing her family to go because it's FREE. And there will be CAMERAS. And Joe is going because there will be WINE.

I think that Caroline's asessment of Joe and Teresa's marriage was spot on accurate. I think that early on, they were in love. When they got married, Teresa had visions in her mind of the wonderful luxurious life she wanted to live. I think she put a lot of pressure on Joe to work hard, make a lot of money, and provide her with the lifestyle she desired. He did it, because he loved her and wanted to keep her attention. The more she got, the more she wanted, the more pressure she put on him. Instead of standing up to her, Joe kept on looking for ways to make money, and started making stupid decisions that put things in a lot of risk. Now, he's feeling the reprecussions of those mistakes, and instead of recognizing he should have put a stop to their material lifestyle, he's resenting Teresa, blaming her for putting him there. The only think I think Caroline had wrong in what she said was when she predicted they would divorce, saying "you heard it here first". Not that I think she's wrong and they won't divorce -- just that I thought it was slimey to announce that on national TV.

Well, she didn't actually announce it; she predicted it, which is what we do all of the time on this board about a show. I don't see anything wrong with that and, maybe, she'll be wrong!

In some families, marriage is such a tradition that divorce is simply not an option, in some people's heads....no matter how miserable they are.

There is no way anyone can convince me that Joe just loved Teresa so much that he did everything he did for her. I doubt that Joe has ever loved anyone as much as he loves Joe. I am not any kind of Teresa fan, but she did not drive Joe to do the things that he has done; I vote that it is the competitive testosterone that courses through his veins.

I did not say that Caroline announced a divorce. I said she predicted they would divorce, and then said I thought it was slimey to announce that prediction on national TV. Yes, we do gossip about the women on the show all the time. So do the women on the show. But predicting a failure of that magnitude is pretty big. If Caroline said it in conversation to friends, I would not take issue with it at all. It's the way that she made the decision to say it in an interview segment. It came across like "when something really bad happens I want to make sure I have the credit of being right". It just struck me wrong. And I"ll defend the theory she offered again. I don't think you can judge what drove Joe and Teresa early in their marriage by what we see on TV today. Two people with their current relationship would have never gotten married. Clearly things were different back then to draw them together.

In my opinion, observing the last few seasons as well as Juicy's law issues … I don't think Tre loves him the way she did when she was 20 something. Not at all. BUT Tre's problem is that she has told the WORLD how awesome he is over and over and over again. When anyone on the show has every confronted her about Juicy, Tre will defend him to the ends of the earth AND AND AND now now that she has been doing that HOW is she suppose to tell this WORLD that she no longer wants to be married to him, no longer wants him in her life??? Tre has wayyyyyy to much pride to expose that to anyone EVEN at the expense of HER happiness.

This TROLL leaves his wallet somewhere and will not even answer Tre when asked WHERE. This TROLL has the nerve to critize Tre's driving when HE HAS LOST HIS LICENSE. What a TROLL he really is. He will defend her behind her back (to the guys like last night) BUT when Tre tells him about things that are upsetting her with her friends, all the TROLL says to her is "who cares just forget about them". Such a idiot. He has NO respect for Tre at all.

Joe Gorga is getting more and more and more gross every episode. That whole discussion about having sex (popping cherries) … and he says he was 9yo. He is nothing but a gross disgusting pig LIAR. And letting his son hit him….do we have another Melania in the making. Sheesh.

While I am not a fan of Rich W … I did like the way he gave it back to the TROLL when the TROLL said "I knew you when you were pumping gas" … and Rich comes quickly back with "ya, I did that when I was younger BUT look at you NOW, Joe, you are FLIPPING PIZZAS" … whatever Juicy the TROLL.

I don't think what Caroline said about The Troll going to jail (oops we're not allowed to say jail) and the subsequent probable divorce was kind, we will never know what the question is that was posed to her in her interview.

On another note, why do people call The Troll Juicy, to me he is the exact opposite of juicy.

I liked how Chris wanted to have a sit-down with the men to discuss the upcoming Napa trip. I'm sure he's just as upset about how his relationship with Joe Guidice has turned out as Jacqueline is upset over Teresa. In the end though, Albert Manzo knew it wouldn't be greatly productive and he was right. You just can't reason with some people. I don't know why they have to share an RV. Why can't Teresa and Joe get their own RV. I guess Bravo wouldn't get anything good to film if everyone was in their respective corners.

I didn't mind the boys' conversation about losing their virginity. That's what guys (not gentlemen) do. They boast about how big their penises are and how advanced they are at the sex. I loved that we had Rich W. to call all their bluffs, "Nine? Eleven? Come on!" I thought it was funny ("Ok. Maybe it was twenty-three."). Usually I think those mini-scenes are stupid, but this was funny (to me).

I really enjoy the addition of Kathy and Melissa. Kathy is truly sweet and has a real sense of family values. Just look at those kids of hers. They're respectful and well behaved. Melissa and Joe seem to be doing a good job of raising the kids too (face-punching aside). They're not destructive like Teresa's kids. I don't even think they've been filmed throwing any kind of tantrums. Antonia's going to be a beautiful young woman. Poor Joe. He's going to have a lot of dates to talk to to ensure his daughter is treated respectfully.

AcTV, sorry! I, evidently, misread your post!

I think it's interesting how some marriages devolve from where they were thought to have begun. Looking back, I'm guessing we end up having to admit to ourselves (at least) that there were signs there, all along. When we're so "in love", we see only what we want to see, thinking that things will get better/change. I include myself in that "blind-idiot" group! The romantic blinders can be a witch, with a capital "B".

JMHO … I am tired of it … honestly. I mean every other epi or every third epi … sure BUT Gorga is always always discussing sex to his wife or with his buddies … always. Even the discussion about Melisa's photo shoot … "They set up a photo shoot to kick-start her publicity machine, and this involves Melissa moaning in a pink sequined dress atop a bed of pink rose petals, and Melissa moaning in tight black pants, a gold jacket, gold stripper heels and a six pounds of bronzer. "A record label doesn't have to own Melissa," Joe tells us. "I own her. I told her to put the porn star attitude on because I love that men want my wife ."

Because Juicy can no longer legally drive and the thought of Teresa trying to handle a big RV cross country probably terrifies the Bravo production team as much as it does me. And there is the 'create more drama' thing, too
