Tony Soprano had little tiny "offices", too...at which he didn't really spend much time; in fact he had 2-3 of them! One of his "offices" was actually a storage space at a legitimate business that had to be cleaned out after he was told to go spend some time in his "office"! I get such a kick out of The Sopranos!!

I was in a dentist office once, when a gentleman was leaving and was told his bill was a couple of thousand dollars. He pulled out a wad that would choke a horse and peeled off the amount that he needed!! I must have been staring with my mouth open, because he looked at me and smiled. I immediately averted my eyes....thinking I'm sure my hair was standing on end!! The office personnel told me that he ALWAYS paid like that!! I'm sure their sharing of info was inappropriate.

I have a friend who pays cash for everything she doesn't like owing anything to anyone so she is strictly cash and carry. It is not unusual to see her buy thousands of dollars in furniture, cars, etc with cash. I lovingly refer to her as Dollar bill, lol.

Yeah...my dad is from the old school and pays everything with cash but when something costs thousands of dollars, he writes a check. It seems like they show someone in one of the housewives series paying with cash but it usually a shopping spree for clothing not really huge amounts of cash.

    What is a "chucky/chuckie/chuckies"?

OK, not for nothing but could Joey be any more stereotypical? Fuggetaboutit.

I live in central NJ & nobody talks that way. Me thinks he needs to put down from 'The Sopranos' box set & step away from the DVD player.

I'll admit that growing up in Newark, most of the guys did talk like that but they grew up & out of it.

[I know this subject has been posted to death but I couldn't help myself. Joey brings back bad memories -- I knew too many mini-macho men like him in my impressionable girlhood.]

Joey may be a roughneck but he knows how to pamper his wife. I love that he brought her roses when he came in.
