And Teresa could not read his body language and then sit on The View and tell us that "Joe, was not telling me how bad it was" ... ugh. :nono

Joe was so uncomfortable throughout this entire epi ... from the planning of the Christening while at the Brownstone to everyone arriving at their house prior to the Christening.

Joe to Teresa on the ride to the Christening ... "Shoes for $5.00, why don't you shop there?" At the Christening ... "I'm leaving." Teresa - "Why?" ... Joe - "Because I don't want to see the bill." ...

    Just soooo many RED flags!!

Last week she was carrying on about wanting a DIAMOND for their anniversary ... we all sit and watch her get this ROCK ... yesterday on The View when asked about the ring ... "Oh its fake, I just love costume jewelry" ... YA RIGHT, Teresa while your 8yo daughter has designer handbags ... stop lying to all of us because it just is not one bit flattering.
    :nono
It speaks volumes about Juicy's respect for Tess that he couldn't tell her exactly what was going on well before this happened. He never really gave her the chance to be thrifty or at least to try to be. Perhaps he's arranging for somebody to blame his money woes on?

She actually expected people to buy that line about the rock being paste? Wow.

I think that part of Teresa's attraction to Joe was money. I would bet that some of Joe's worries are that Teresa might leave him. No doubt that ,because of this show, she probably meets more people (men) than before. I know that some of you feel that Joe isn't interested in her anymore but I think that he's just uncomfortable with their lives and their money woes being shown on TV and the possibility that he could be losing his family. There is definitely something on his mind.
If Joe looks upset, distracted and disinterested in Teresa, I think it's probably because he knows his goomah is going to break up with him. He can't afford to wine and dine her anymore, pay her rent, or buy her jewelry

It's only in these unguarded moments that reality tv is truly brilliant.
I respectfully disagree, at least partially. I think the sobbing and keening was about drama, but the shock that Kim G. was blabbing it about town had a bit of believability to it.

On a lighter note, I have an alternative theory on why Kim G wants lunch so badly. She knows Caroline Manzo is on house arrest and wants to embarrass her for rebuffing her. When is the last time we saw the Primp Queen outside her own kitchen? Check her ankles!
    OMG!!!!! Love it!!!!!!!!!!!!

And I will agree with those of you who say Joe was giving Tess plenty of warnings, and she refused to see them. She's in denial about so many things, including his ongoing attraction to her. "Can I have a little tongue?" was what she said to him last week, and the more she chases him, the further away he gets.
I think Joe's dealing with some issues of his own with regard to preferring his wife...I bet he spends a lot of time at the gym dot dot dot...

If she had said to him "Joe, we could live in those apartments above the pizza joint, or in a trailer park, and as long as we're together and our kids are fed, nothing else matters." That might have brought him around. Would have brought me around.
Me too but perhaps her childhood was so awful and poor ("She comes from Pa'erson, remembah") that she's a little bit afraid that:

    a) If she doesn't spend it NOW it will be gone and gone for good and
    b) If she doesn't hound Juicy to bring in more cash he'll just spend his time at the gym hanging around with his special friends, working out and getting all sweaty and manly.

On a related note I wonder if she's one of those women who like gay porn?

Instead, she just whores herself out and makes herself look ridiculous and uncaring for others' feelings. And she's so self-unaware that she thinks she can make things better by spinning more lies on shows like the View.
To me she just makes herself look utterly dumb. Utterly and entirely and nearly irredeemably dumb. Or scheming. Or a combo.

just saw the post about it being section 8 property. But I still thought that even with section 8 the tenant was responsible for paying the utilities?
Everything depends on the lease agreement and local practice. Example: In the Baltimore area the electric company (BGE) puts in meters for all apartments so the norm is for the tenant to pay the bills. But down the parkway in the DC area, PEPCO will only put in one meter per stairwell or building so the norm is for the bills to be folded in to the rent. I suspect that Section 8 would prefer to have the landlord pay the bills because maybe the fear is that some of the tenants aren't so good at managing their money.

I thought it interesting that he thought it was OK because he supposedly had the heat back on by nightfall. Tell that to a tenant with an infant child when it's 20 degrees outside on a February day.
Plus, it's not a favour of the landlord in that situation to keep the heat and light and water on, it's an obligation.

Oops, sorry, just like debts are, but we know that he's oblivious to obligations, obviously.

I think what's really appalling is his nonchalance about it. As if it were no more important than replacing some shrubs that died..."I did it soon enough. What were they squawking about." Expecially since rent is paid in advance, the tenants (or the government - i.e., you and me) had paid for that electricity already. All Joe had to do was make sure that the money went from his account to the power company's.

We own a house in Australia and ever since his parents for Christmas paid off the mortgage we own it free and clear. We could treat it like a cash cow and just spend all the rental income, but we keep a huge buffer on account just in case the lovely and nice tenants have a problem - the stove breaks or the a/c goes kaput. We also try to spend on upgrades through the year - a patio awning a few months ago, just to keep it the kind of place we'd love to live in (because who knows, if we go back to Australia we will be). It's kinda tough sometimes because they're there which makes for instance a fresh paint job awkard for all concerned, but...the point is that we would go without here to keep up our obligations to the tenants. (Who are lovely and undemanding which is why we keep the rent lower than the management company would like, just to keep them. I figure as long as the taxes and maintenance etc. are paid, everything else is just gravy and gravy can be fattening.)

Season finale is not until September 6th ... so there will be a few more epi's!
I'm certain certain certain that Danielle was not invited to go on the Whooping and Shrieking Tour of Venice Which Will Be Wasted on Nearly Everyone.

I wonder who will succumb to Stendhal Syndrome.

I've always thought that if Joe were honest with himself and others he'd ditch her like four day old fish...

He's said he hates her. How much sympathy can one expect her to have.

It was hardly an 'accident' - he was driving drunk. Just lucky it was a tree and not a child or an elderly person he ploughed into.

Jacqueline said that Danielle has been talking about the search for her mother since she has known her. It is no big secret.
