You're the best. Thanks so much!
To Thine Own Self Be True
Danielle is having an ex-con/bodyguard escort her to a charity event for a sick baby? Is she really that paranoid? And what is up with Jacquelines husband having an arsenol of guns in his safe? A stripper car wash? Really?
I don't know, the only normal thing that happened last night was T. having her baby. Congrats to her and her husband.
I can't really say I'm surprised that Danielle has a friend who is a felon. What does he do that he was in jail for four years and has a house like that? Maybe the felony was money related but he didn't fit the 'look' of someone wealthy.Originally Posted by straycat80;3912671;
The arsenal doesn't do much to dispel the rumors that the Lauritas/Manzos have mob ties.
Danielle was probably looking for peace, light and love, for about five minutes but now her true self is back. She's the worst of the bunch.Originally Posted by HocusPocus;3911528;
Did anyone see how excited she got when she mentioned her 15 year old daughter pay check? I wonder if Christine will ever see that money.
Since when does owning guns mean you have mob ties? I also didn't see an "arsenal". A few rifles and the handgun I saw hardly constitutes having an "arsenal".Originally Posted by Hobbes07;3912692;
We have a gun safe here at home as well and so far we know no one in the mob.
This is how rumors get started, with exaggerations.
Loved how Teresa surprised Dina with the 'how does it feel to hold your Godchild' question. That's a nice way to bond the families together.
Danielle continues to look for trouble. Why would she be personally asked to attend the benefit? She doesn't have any money. Don't they know this? A person that can't keep their house in shape to put on the market can't be expected to donate much money. Since she didn't offer her time to help with the event I guess she accepted as a 'special' guest. A guest who is broke.
Unless she planned to make trouble, why even accept the invitation knowing that it's at the Brownstone. She just has a desire to keep pushing herself into situations where she clearly is not wanted. Also bringing along one of her ex-con friends as her 'back up' is beyond ridiculous. She truly needs to speak to a psychiatrist. Fast.
And by the way, here on the Jersey Shore we have several car washes that employ girls to wear bikini's to dry off the cars. The line is usually backed up into the highway.
We also have a few girls that have hot dog trucks along the way to the beach who wear bikinis and the line for a hot dog backs up traffic for miles before you even get to the ocean.
Obviously these businesses make money and Christopher is smart to try to combine services that seem to be popular even during an economic downturn.

I was referring to the rumor last year about how they (as in the manzo/lauraita family NOT everyone else in the US) have mob ties.Originally Posted by megan31917;3912827;
I've never been able to get into the NJ series, but I did hear Danielle on the Today show this morning, and I swear I heard her describe something that happened to her as "therapeutical." Eek.
How in the world is it now Danielle "looking for trouble" and "pushing her way into a situation" for being good friends with the uncle of the baby with cancer and being asked to attend the benefit? You ask, "Why accept?" I can't imagine turning down such a heartfelt request. The family even asked Danielle to accept the check on their behalf, so I'd say there is a close relationship between Danielle and this family.Originally Posted by megan31917;3912827;
Those shows are obviously highly edited and situations are calculated for maximum dramatic effect, but unless what we were shown was complete bunk, Danielle did not invite herself to this charity event. I thought Caroline's reaction when her husband told her Danielle was asked to receive the check by the family was horrid. I also think Danielle bringing in her "body guard" to this function is simply dreadful. Redeeming qualities in any of these women are few and far between.

I don't find it unreasonable for DAnielle to accept the invitation--if what we saw was accurate--that just looked like she was a friend of the family and they wanted her to come and not her worming her way in. I do find it a bit suspicious that the event is being held at the brownstone--out of all the places in Jersey a charity event can be held, they pick a place that happens to be owned by a family that hates Danielle and Danielle just happens to be accepting the check? Hmmmmm. So that is why I am kind of suspicious of the whole thing--seems almost like Bravo is trying to stage something where they can film some drama for the cameras. But I could be wrong.
And then getting a felon to escort her? How would that help things? I have a hard time deciding whether Danielle is really that crazy and paranoid or if she just wants to stir the pot and cause trouble. After all, all she has talked about this season was how that family has wronged her. It seems like Danielle could have called Carolyn, explained the situation, and asked if one night they could put their drama aside. Despite how tough Carolyn talks on the show, I don't think she would be a total jerk and start a fight at a charity event for a sick baby. Bringing the felon is just bad news--that guy doesn't seem good and can only lead to trouble.
