Re: The Real Housewives of Atlanta

I don't think Nene is jealous of Kim, I think that Nene still has the "Tardy for the Party" bug up her butt. She put the curse of death on that song ("That song will be nothing without me on it") and to see that the song did well and led to another song and a mini tour, well it just burns her biscuits!! Not that she wants to tour and play pop star, it's just that she is left with egg on her face that the failure she predicted and wished for didn't happen. As a matter of fact, it did better than anyone dared to dream. It's a hard pill for her to swallow, and hopefully this last argument will finally help her to gulp it on down!

Nene still cracks me up sometimes, but she is really her own worse enemy. She cannot deal with not being in control. There is still hope for her. Hopefully it is something she will be able to address one day, after all, we are all a work in progress.

One thing I have learned is that jealousy never makes sense, so why even waste your time on it?

I couldn't agree with you any more. Why do these women watse their time acting this way....simple...the more outrageous their behaviour the more press/blog time they get. They dipped their pretty manicured toe in the fame pond & once hooked they can never get out. Their ego is just too big to do so. Lisa was too bland so she's out & replaced with Excedrine; the lawyer with an ex-con husband. Not to disrespect Apollo who I am sure is a decent person, but he did some serious time in prison & his wife minimized it by claiming it wasn't that serious of a crime. I wonder if the people he defrauded feel the same way. He did his time so I won't say more however how did he go from being a barber to working in finance?
The point is Lisa is vanilla while Phedra is tutti-frutti & tutti-frutti tops vanilla all the time.

I think if a normal, sane person called me a bitch I would be pretty pissed. However Kim has shown that she sometimes uses that word as endearment or at least not as BAD as the word means to be. She has called Nene a bitch before and I think she really uses it like one would use the word dude. So if that is why Nene went off like that.

I also find it pretty horrifying that Kim has been assaulted three times on this show and no one has gotten kicked off or gotten in trouble. Other reality shows take violence much more seriously so Bravo is pissing me off with this crap.

And since Nene claims to represent a domestic violence organization she gets even more side eye from me.

I think as a white person Kim will never understand what minorities, especially black women, have to go through in every day life. However I do not think Kim is racist in her treatment of Sweetie. I too think Kim would treat her like crap if she was of a different color.

Meant to say if that is why Nene went off....well that is lame and I am not buying it.

Glad you mentioned this. I certainly get confused to hear the many ways "bitch" is used by people of all races. I liked it better when I knew what words meant. I've heard friends call each other bitches. Weird.

And I agree, Kim has such a sense of self-importance that it wouldn't matter what color Sweetie was, she'd still be demeaning about it. Kim is a lot of things but not definitely not racist.

Sorry for double post but how did Nene play the race card? My memory's not all that great and I got caught up in the cat fight and don't remember particulars.

Not verbatim but regarding the way Kim speaks to Sweetie she said "You don't speak to a sister that way". In my opinion, it was unnecessary. If she was that offended, she could have said "You don't speak to another human being that way". She was looking to rile up the others on the bus IMO.

Bunny, just wanted to say sorry for the loss of your daughter. You and your family are in my prayers. I posted in the "troubles" section as many have, but just wanted to say it again.

Bunny, my condolences go out to you and your family as well. I rarely venture outside of the tv forums so I had no idea. I am so very sorry for your loss.
