    I don't mean to be rude, but it is my experience that the only people that tend to downplay the value of education typically haven't attained anything beyond a high school degree.

    I don't believe that a college degree guarantees a high salary or success in one's career, nor do I believe it should.

    College graduates cannot chose to be a lawyer or doctor without attaining additional education and completing required exams (the bar, the boards, etc.) The ability to attain such credentials typically indicates a high degree of application, focus, application and intellectual rigor. (Perhaps a little more than is required to pass the state realtor's exam.)

    You can attain a JD, pass the bar and still earn what might be considered a low salary to our rich RHOOC ladies. A judge in certain jurisdictions might earn less than someone in insurance sales (like Vicky).

    I am making a guess that an educated person is less likely to
    have silicon injected into their bodies, experience significant pain and think that it makes sense to undergo another procedure to put a different (smaller) pair back in, like Tamra.

    I am also guessing that an educated person would be less likely to hastily purchase a $1M + home, decide that they don't want it and naively think that it would be a risk-free investment in an overheated and souring housing market.
    Yes, what she said... Right on...all of it

    Simon? Is that you? LOL.

    Why go to college?

    Tamra is and has more than what of 90% of college grads? If you think she has more silicon that 90% of college graduates, I have to agree. If you think she has more notoriety than 90% of college grads, I also agree with you. If you believe she is has more money than 90% of college undergraduates, you could be right. She is probably in the top 1% of wage earners in this country.

    Absolutely. An educated person would care if her children were educated, not just playing baseball, hustling for pervs with a so-called "energy drink", and doing nothing except appearing on a reality show, (McKenzie, Megan and Ryan).

    Is Ryan still picking parts for peanuts?

    She may have 90% more money, but she still has 100% LESS education! There is more to a college degree than the cash it will net you.

    I hate to say this, but college graduates make peanut money and can barely survive unless they choose the higher-paying careers (doctor, lawyer), but even then you have to be pretty good to make the big bucks.

    College may broaden your horizons and open some doors, but it doesn't guarantee a good paycheck.
    Somewhat true, but not always. I have a BA in English and was making close to 6 figures within 4 years of graduating college, before I quit to be a stay at home mom. Not a lucrative degree, per se, but it sure opened doors for me and then my wit and charm carried me the rest of the way.

    However, not having a college education makes getting a good paycheck 100 times harder these days. If it's that difficult for a college grad to get hired, imagine how much more difficult it is for someone with no degree. It's certainly ridiculous for a recent college grad to expect the big bucks, but it's even that more far fetched for someone without that piece of paper to even get a foot in the door.

    A college degree or a really lucrative and technical trade such as electrician or plumber is a minimum nowadays.
    Even working for Uncle Sam requires a College Degree with sometimes outstanding grades to get an entry level job. So for those like Tamra and the likes consider yourself lucky and consider education for your kids future if not yourself.
    And I agree 100% with the poster who says College is useless until you try to climb that corporate ladder and the door slam shuts on you.

    The only way I can see college NOT being better is if you do loans to pay tuition, books and rent. Now days, at the end of 4-5 years of education you could owe a couple hundred thousand in student loans.
    A person that goes right into say real estate and works HARD could POSSIBLY be doing better then the student at the end of the 4-5 years.
    But chances are the person that skips college, gets right into the work force is a person that will succeed no matter what.

    None of the RHoOC kids seem to be that type.

    I think you're wrong there, PugMum

    Selling A/C water in a bikini (or long skirt and t-shirt) is a stepping stone to;
    Serving drinks topless which is a stepping stone to;
    twirling around a pole in a g-string which is a stepping stone to;
    being a VIP dancer at "SCORES" is a stepping stone to;
    High Priced Escort (being very selective and picky of course) which is a stepping stone to the TOP of their trade...the perpetual CEO - OC MADAME!

    Congratulations Ashley! Perhaps you can do an internship under Heidi Fleiss!
