Kudos to Jeana for going to court yesterday.

    Amen.

Jeana - during this trying time, you need to surround yourself with loved ones and true friends. Please lose the hanger-on known as Frankie ! He will only take what he can - curious as to how much that adds up to by now...

When I first heard that Matt's hearing was postponed, I assumed it was because they were immediately putting him in rehab. It appears as though he will be behind bars until the hearing. Was a reason given for the postponement?

Maybe both sides need time to prepare their cases. Ordinarily I would say throw the bum in jail, but Matt has a head injury that renders him incapable of thinking like the rest of us and perhaps controlling his impulses. Regardless, Matt needs to be kept from hurting himself and innocent bystanders. How about an ankle bracelet and a 24 hr. caregiver/monitor after a longer stint in rehab? The Keoughs have enough money to foot the bill and it beats five years in jail.

There are facilities with medical units.
Matt needs to somehow get it. Prison might be just what he needs.

Jeana is a decent woman. Kudos to her and her kids for supporting Matt.

Keough had just finished a seven-week stint at the Newport Beach jail as a trustee for another alcohol-related probation violation before his most recent arrest, Sailor said. During his stay, Keough performed routine maintenance tasks such as washing patrol cars, Sailor said. Keough finished his term as a trustee Dec. 12, Sailor said.

He just gets out and does it again.....as Dr. Phil would say, "how's that working for ya, Newport Beach Police?"

I'm thinking that it was someone close to Matt that alerted the hotel staff to make a call to the police.
It may of also of been a family member (parent, wife, child) that requested he remain locked up through Christmas and New Years for his safety as well as others. Hoping it will be a wake-up call.

After this many violations, the judge would make the final call in keeping him in jail. His wife has publicly stated that they are separated which means he is living alone. She also is not responsible for him if they have filed official papers in the court. Seems as if there was not much of a choice for the officials.
Television is an invention that permits you to be entertained in your living room by people you wouldn't have in your home.

For personal reasons, I try not to comment on this too much. I totally disagree with the people who say Matt cannot process information like the rest of us due to brain injury. On the show last season, Matt showed himself to be a person who was just mean and ugly. But, he could be clear and lucid. He is not brain-damaged, just evil.

I think it is more personal disappointment than brain injury that has made him that way. Hope all four of Jeana's houses are in her name.

Call me naive, but it never ceases to amaze me how justice is not equal. Not meaning to get on a soapbox, but would Matt be treated so leniently if he were someone else? Matt deserves every bit of time he gets. Maybe that will save someone's life.

    Well said.

Matt clearly has no desire to get better, so it would seem to me that some time served would be beneficial to both him and the public at large.
