Three local mates find some fun in cast of castaways

NEWBURYPORT -- They survived close encounters with snakes, tarantulas, wild boars, and Hurricane Ivan. Intrusive camera crews and a desert-island diet did not seem to faze them, either. Nor did producers urging them to be themselves, whatever that means when you've been cast inside the threads of a 40-year old sitcom with a high goofball quotient.
