Rachel Hunter's iconic cavewoman bikini up for grabs
Interesting little tidbit o' Rachel news.
I wonder who won it in the end...Speedy? :riiight
Rachel Hunter's sexy cavewoman bikini worn in a snack advertisement is being auctioned this week for her favourite charity.
The bikini mimics the one worn by Raquel Welch in the film One Million Years BC. Welch became a sex symbol when she dressed in the fur costume for the 1966 film.
Hunter appears as the "Snack Hunter" in the animal-skin outfit to promote a new low-carbohydrate range of snacks, CarbWise.
The outfit, along with a signed photograph of the New Zealand model wearing it, has gone up for auction on ebay.co.uk.
By the end of the week, the outfit will be sold to the highest bidder.
Last night, bidding by two interested buyers had pushed the price up to just over £100 ($265).
Hunter's costume was made for her by a London designer at Academy Costumes - a company that has worked on films such as Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and Love Actually.
Proceeds from the auction will go to Hunter's favourite charity, Born Free, which works to conserve endangered wildlife.
The charity is raising money to build a £175,000 enclosure at the Limbe Wildlife Centre in Cameroon, West Africa.
