Great show...I loved watching Richard's confidence grow thru each step of the makeover. Good for him! Momma needs to take a hike. She was soooooo obviously at the root of Richard's insecurities.

IMO, the mother just needs to get used to it.

I agree with you, Jupiter. I could relate to the guy myself. My mom is a wonderful person but very judgmental and her faces have a great impact on me. (Still, at 31!).
I imagine the tupee was her idea in the first place!.

I felt a bit awkward with all his insecurity. I had the feeling that as soon as the show ended he was gonna go unscrub that tupee from the grill and paste it back!

I also would have liked to see if Thom redecorated a playroom or something of the sort. I think they downplayed the importance of the 3 kids in the family and didn't like it that much.

The wife was sweet! but just a thought... she could be a great candidate for QE for the straight MOM!!!

I think because of the support of his wife, etc, that he will not go back to the toupee. Also, he did notice how great he looked and started to gain confidence. Good for him!

I thought that he looked like the singer Moby when they cut his hair. It wasn't a bad look at all, more of an improvement cause the toupe made it look like he had a real bad receding hairline.

Mom needed to take a hike, I agree too that she is the root of his insecurity

With the glasses on, he reminded me of the cousin of the lead singer from Linkin Park.

I think Mom needs to have something done with her hair.

I wondered if the mother had a hairpiece....his dad was bald...his wife had significant hair loss on the top of her head....even the daughter had a receeding hair line....Cudos to him for finally saying its ok to lose hair.......setting a much better example for his family than his mom was showing here..

Jai said he wanted to do more for Richard...there were dozens of playbills...one of the few things that the family had in any number....and it did force him to meet people...He had seen enough plays that tickets wouldnt be special...forget which play it was....most playgoers who have seen several plays dream about meeting the cast...any cast.....
