Re: Christian - Season 4 I think we were surprised by his lack of confidence in dealing with his aggressive HS girl. I would think that since he is only 21, these girls reminded him of the field hockey/cheerleader types who would NOT have been part of his artsy HS crowd and he was terrified of the memories

Re: Christian - Season 4 Although a competent designer with 'moments' of greatness there's a reason Christian has only won one out of 7 challenges. I don't see him making the finals.

Re: Christian - Season 4 He is young and got some attention for his work very early which gave him a big head. He will have to grow up before he makes it big in this industry. I do think he is destined to succeed when his attitude matures and I expect him to make Bryant Park, too.

Re: Christian - Season 4 But as over-the-top as he is, his critiques are on point. Like during the challenge where they design for people who lost weight, he questioned Elisa's wacky sleeves and he knew which 3 are worst. And he helped Victorya decide about her prom dress and to boot Victorya won. I don't see him as being rude but being unboring and fun. And if he is as nasty as you guys are saying, how come he doesn't have enemies there. I've seen worse disagreements between the other designers. What I saw during the prom design and the weight loser design was Christian listening to his clients. And the other designers even feeel bad for him during the prom challenge because he is not being his usual self. He is 21, fun, and being not boring. And even Sweet P told his prom client that he was the wonder kid there so these other designers know that he is IT.

Re: Christian - Season 4 Christian listened to his clients. Remember the mess that won last season being mean to his client who was another designer's mom. That designer didn't listen because he didn't want to lose and kept his own concept and after that his final design was still the pits. Now, imagine Christian and his prom client. I thought he dealt well with his client's vision and injected his own to make it work. Unfortunately, he ran out of fabric and didn't have enough time. And as tacky as what the concept of the dress was, I liked it and sso did Heidi Klum. J. Mendel guy didn't because he designs for socialites and doesn't do lace. Because the teen wanted lace and kitsch and the type that Madonna wore in the 80's and that doesn't cut it now. Christian's dillemna is making lace work, and brown, and black which were the client's requests. And as nasty the concept is, the client is always right. Compare that with Ricky's hideous dress, and Rami's older woman dress and Kevin's red maternity, I thought what got him in was his being defensive about the outcome of the dress and Nina giving attention to it. And that's when the other judges were saying ditto.
