| Re: Tim Gunn That's what I love about S2: they weren't the best designers by any stretch, but they certainly were the most entertaining. When I watch S3, there are so many tense and ugly moments I have to fast-forward through...S2 just made me laugh and smile. Tim seems to be learning to play to the cameras this season, what with his "3AM bad decisions", and his "grandpa trying to get through the ropes" bit. ![]()

| Re: Tim Gunn Does the man actually sleep or just hang out, fully dressed-n-pressed, in a hyperbaric chamber between workroom appearances? I was musing on this as Tim arrived during a recent episode at 6 AM to knock on apartment doors. It was still dark out. The designers, most of whom are half (or less) of Tim's age dragged to the door in various states of deshibille, looking like death on sticks. There's Tim, crisp and fresh as a band-box, face and teeth positively glowing, silver hair impeccable, pocket square and perfect Windsor knot standing at attention. A pocket square wouldn't dare wilt on Tim Gunn, no matter the hour. I am in awe of Tim Gunn, but if I were confronted with such sartorial perfection and perkiness at 6 AM in the bloody morning after I've had, like, 3 hours of sleep, I think I would have to punch Tim Gunn's perfectly tight, poreless, smiling face! How does the man manage it? Is there a closet somewhere with a portrait of Tim Gunn that gets increasingly creased and disheveled with every passing episode? One does wonder . . ! |
