Joe did great too! He didn't use any tablecloths, and had used pasta & oven mitts.

And Terri's top was fabulous, but her skirt kinda sucked.

However, IMO Keith did not do the best. I don't care if he looks hot, that was a tablecloth. It was a lazy way out.

There seemed to be a significant lack of creativity with this bunch. Like the one lady said, "tablecloths are way too easy".

The judges (& Tim Gun) got it right across the board.

Anyone know where there might be pix of Season One's trip to Gristedes?

    Thanks for posting that link!

A couple of those season one outfits are wonderful! I find myseful wondering what they were made out of. Such exuberance.

This season's outfits were generally so quiet in comparison. Almost as if the designers are running scared, their confidence inhibited after observing 4 seasons of designers sweating under Nina's disapproval and Michael's pithy putdowns.

That's a good point, ManySkills. Because they think they know how the judges will react, they play it safe and don't take the far-out risks which may get them aufed.

I love Joe and the pasta. To me that was more aline with the challenge of using different materials.

I like Kellie and Daniel, I thought those three should have been the top.

Blayne and Jerry could have went home for me!
They were worse than Stella to me.

This group seemed so uninspired at the grocery store, and after looking at season 1, there was no comparison. Is the talent regressing on this show, or is it just me being cynical?

Soooooooo uninspired as compared to Season 1!!!! But, we go along, eh?

Top Picks: Kelly (woo!), Daniel, Joe, Kenly, Terri

Middle of the Road: Jennifer (a little boring, a little washed-out), Keith (obviously a tablecloth, but so cute and wearable), Wesley, Korto and Jerrel

Bad, so, so, ever-so, bad: Emily, Suede, Leanne, Stella. I wish they would have double-auf'd Blayne and Jerry.
    Could does not mean should
