    Wendy Pepper

Q: How would you describe your design philosophy or point of view?
I am an interpretive designer. I design feminine clothes for the sophisticated woman.

Q?:What would someone close to you describe as your best and worst traits?
Best: superior ability to interpret my client's needs through personal attention. Worst: time management.

Q:What was your most embarrassing moment?
I made a chiffon dress with infinite hand-rolled hems and layers on the bias for a ballerina receiving the Princess Grace Award in New York. It was held together by only a few stitches at key points, ...and it fell off as she was leaving her room

Q:What is an odd fact or talent you possess?
I spoke Tibetan during college, when I lived in Nepal.

Q:Who are the designers you admire most?
Valentineo, Chanel, Dior, and Yves Saint Laurent.

Q:What are your favorite fashion magazines?
    Collezioni, Bazaar, Elle.

Q:What are your favorite TV shows?
Anything on PBS, Joe Millionaire, The Sopranos.

    Q:What are your favorite movies?
Sappy, happy comedies, the world is too stressful. And Troy Brad Pitt in anything.

Q:If you could design an outfit for any living person, who would be your dream client and why?
My dream client would be Keira Knightley, the actress who recently appeared in Pirates of the Caribbean. I prefer to design dramatic evening dresses that call for a statuesque woman with poise and grace, qualities I feel Ms. Knightley exudes.

I'm not sure I can trust a woman who'd allow herself to be seen publicly with hair and makeup like that to design anything I'd ever wear. Longshot, indeed.

And who typed out these responses? My God, learn how to spell Valentino!

Beginner Blue eyeshadow and stuck-my-finger-in-a-socket hair? Ugh...

    Wendy, aka "The Longshot"? Hmm.

I'd say more Wendy, aka "The One Who Can't Wear Makeup."

I can't get past the make-up, either. Those cheeks--clownish scary! It reminds me of the first time I got into my mother's make-up as a wee one.

So, Phyllis Diller is now a clothing designer? (She's actually much more attractive in her interview video).

This woman is so out of her league on this show. What was up with the little dance recital costume she threw together this week? I think she actually should have been eliminated before whats-his-hair.

Wendy had more of a dress this week, but pretty much that's the only positive thing I could say about it. It didn't look like it had been done by a professional. I hope she's gone soon.

Week 2 - Dress was uninspired and blah. During the auction she was so off-putting with her stance that I wouldn't have approached her or her garment. She seemed so closed and uncomfortable and that just won't fly in the garment industry.
