I agree with everything you have said and it will be an exciting finale because it is really not clear who will take the win.
I think they learned their lesson from the first season when Wendy Pepper won the challenge when it was down to the final 4 and they had the difficult task of eliminating Austin Scarlett. In this season, as explained during judging, they had a hard time picking the final 3 since each designer was so different from each other and were all so scared of getting eliminated that they swayed from their own style. They wanted to kind of do the challenge again wherein the designers would have more time designing a gown and more time to think it through. They just want to make sure that the final 3 are the best final 3 and I believe they got it right.

You make some excellent points as explanation for the judges making the final four jump through yet one more hoop. I don't think any of the gowns were really that good and it seems quite logical that they chose Jerell by default. I still think that they could have chosen Leanne, but I guess they felt that they had to go with the best of a mediocre group.

I believe that we do have the correct final three. We may have gotten there in a strange circuitous manner, but they are there.

I was thinking about Kenley and her complete inability to take any constructive criticism. It's like she is destroyed if someone doesn't love her designs. She is arrogant, not confident. Arrogance is an outside veneer that covers up insecurity. Confidence means that you know who you are, that you are centered and comfortable with yourself and your designs. Kenley's arrogance makes it impossible for her to listen and learn. She is ruining her chance to become a fully realized designer. Maybe that's why I don't have this visceral hatred for her. I don't pity her, either. I despise rudeness and bad manners. I make no excuses for her inexcusable attitude toward Tim and the judges. But she has missed out on a lot by refusing to hear them.

Tim is the epitome of class, grace and dignity. He really does want to help these designers. I think that might be why he broke down on last week's show. He gets really emotionally involved with all of them. It's just too bad that Kenley was unable to get past her own inner demons and see that he was trying to help her be the best designer that she could be.

I do happen to think that this is anyone's to win. The finale should be exciting.

What I noticed is that when Tim teared up...Korto, Jerell and Leanne also teared up. Kenley did not. To me that says that she can tear up when it is only about her but not in empathy with another. Korto has tried to extend her hand to Kenley, though Leanne seems to find it awkward to do so. Notice when Kenley handed around the campagne - Leanne accepted it, but kind of sunk back in the sofa (figuratively.) Anyway - enough about Kenley until after the FINALE - which I agree should be exciting!

Jexter, we were just talking about that very thing! That and along with the final four's appearance on Regis and Kelly a couple of weeks ago leads us to further believe it's Leanne. She just had an air of confidence - but no arrogance. You could tell she still had that camaraderie with Korto and Jerrell who sat on either side of her.

Kenley, of course, was as bratty as usual though a tad more subdued. Lordy, her voice could make a deaf dog howl.

Darn! I would LOVE to have seen that episode; I shall have to check video sites post-haste!

Sidenote: I was thinking of a clever means of describing Kenley's voice, but I think you did it.

Re: 10/8 Show Discussion **SPOILERS**

I have looked at that clip of Heidi looking to her left quite a few times in slow motion. It appears she is directing her attention toward Leanne at first glance. Just as the clip is cut short her eyes drift to her right. It is not out of the question to believe the edit was done to fool the viewers. It would be a blatant give away since the shot before shows their position on the runway. I can visualize her turing her head abrubtly as she says, "congratualtions, you are the winner...."

I am not convinced it is Leanne. Kenely is the other contender because, to me, Korto's collection is not a winner.

Laura did beautiful work, everything imaculate and well styled, but all the same. Leanne may fall into the catagory of "not exciting enough". Kenely hand painted two dresses. That is something that can set someone apart and squarely into the innovative arena. They are looking for cutting edge, exciting and inspiring. None of them made the grade there but the question is who came closest.

I wish I had seen them on Regis and Kelly. Leanne is always composed with an air of confidence. We also don't know what offers have come their way since Bryant Park. A lot of time has elapsed. Perhaps she was just herself or feeling very comfortable with what good things have come her way. I am willing to bet she got orders for that wedding dress within 24 hours. Vera Wang could have hired her, for all we know.

I like Leanne and her collection was the shining star from where I sit. I am just not all that sure.

I hope PR has learned from the previous cycles.

Jeffrey may have had a wonderful collection ; Jay may have had a wonderful collection but neither ---for entirely different reasons-- had the personality to succeed as the winner of PR should in the workplace.

Leanne will be no Christian as far as being an outrageous, but funny "personality" but neither is she negatively perceived as was Jeffrey and will be Kenley.

I saw the collections on the runway show at PR online Jerrell's clothing line was the best. Leanne's is nice but a little dull.

They don't care, nor should they. They judge the collection, not the person. They have no way of knowing who is going to make it big. This is a TV show. What the designers do with their career after it wraps is out of their hands or concerns. Sure it speaks well for the show if it births success stories but it doesn't matter if it is the winner who succeeds. History tells us that many of these designers get a huge boost to their careers and remain in the media.

They care. Kors hooked Christain up with someone who would insure he did not fall into the jaws of the unscrupulous. And they keep in touch with others; Laura is one. But the only thing they can do is judge the collection.

Well said. It shouldn't be forgotten tha the show is a contest, with a great launching pad as the prize. It is not a job interview.
