Which of course makes her talk and actions this episode ironic. Or delusional. Kors sure backed off on his"exactly like McQueen" insistence. Editing is a wonderful thing...it cuts out the arguments and producer interference.

AWW I was so disappointed Jerell got auf'ed. I really thought Kortos's designs were worse than his. I hope Leanne takes Tim's advice and fixes up her collection so she beats out Kenley in the end because judging by Korto's collection so far I don't think she has a chance of winning. Who knows I may be wrong.

Jerell didn't really deliver stellar work, but he did act as if he was the brightest and best of the whole bunch. He fancied himself a winner and forgot to actually perform when it was time for him to go on stage.

Kenley might be a whiny little bitch with a very visible trick, at least she showed signs this week that she does take notes. Whereas Jerell just does what Jerell thinks he does best.

Kenley isn't arrogant, she's defensive, extremely defensive even, and a lot of people mistake that for arrogance. But the thing is, people who really are arrogant, they don't make such a fuss about criticism. They don't riled up when someone tells them something they don't want to hear. That's why Jerell is very much an image of arrogance, while Kenley is an image of insecurity.

Jerell's dress just didn't cut it. It was fair that he and Korto got in trouble for their designs. Both of them had the same flaws, but in Jerell's case those flaws were embellished and accentuated. Jerell made his choice, and unfortunately it was the wrong choice.

Had Korto or Jerell stood next to Kenley or LeAnne, I would have been surprised, because that would have meant that either Jerell or Korto got a free pass, one not based on their dresses.

I also didn't like LeAnne growing a pair and letting out a sneer "oh look it's missus hobby-dress" or something to that extent. Like her designs are the cat's meow. I strongly dislike that whole "it's supposed to represent a wave"-schtick she's got going on in her dresses. They remind me of oven-mitts.

I have so many thoughts about last night's show.

First of all, I am okay with the final three. I will say that Jerell did deserve to get through last week with his win, but it appears that the judges had serious reservations about him. It's not fair, but I have to say that his wedding and bridesmaid dresses did validate their concerns. He dropped the ball. I did see a touch of arrogance and dismissiveness with Jerell when he flippantly decided to ignore Tim's sage advice. Of course, Jerell got called out for the bodice. Surprise! You could see that coming a mile away. His problem has always been editing and discipline. All season he has been wildly inconsistent - great one week, awful the next.

I liked Kenley apologizing to the others. I think it helped to break the ice and ease some of the tension. Also, it was the right thing to do. I was happy to see them be supportive of each other to some extent. Thanks to those here who posted the links of the Alexander McQueen designs. Yes, there is a strong resemblance. This, from someone who famously declared that she doesn't look at collections. I did notice that Kenley immediately reverted to her old self as soon as Michael Kors pointed out the resemblance to McQueen. I don't know what we missed in the editing, but the next thing we hear is Michael Kors complimenting her on how well made it was and how he could see her in the design. I wonder what we missed. As soon as Kenley knew they liked it, then she was happy again. She has the thinnest of skins.
I do think she did a good job. I loved the bridesmaid dress. I thought the shape was fun and cute and loved the color. She deserved to be in the final three.

Korto's gowns were not appealing to me at all. If that means that I don't like ethnic, then so be it. I thought the bridal dress looked frumpy and ruffled and unattractive. I think you can be true to your roots and heritage without being so literal. I didn't like both designs in the same color. The bridesmaid dress looked almost like an afterthought, a throwaway. I think Korto ran out of time. I believe that she got in because of her track record for the season. She was much stronger than Jerell. Also, his was so hideous over the top and that gave the judges their rationale for picking Korto. I am okay with her being in the final three. Although this was not her best work, she has done enough to show me that she has the talent to be there.

Leanne's bridal gown was the best design, hands down. It took my breath away. I just loved the fabric and the gathered balloon effect. It was simply stunning. Her bridesmaid dress was good enough. I kind of like her wave thing. She's not the most creative, but what she does, she does well. I think she definitely earned her place in the final three.

I am disappointed in how this played out. I think that the judges could have easily let them show at BP without picking a winner. It's clear that they have serious reservations about all of them. There is some talent in this group, but I don't know if any of them have what it takes to make it in fashion. I also think that the extra challenge was really way too much. How many hoops were the judges going to make them jump through? You could see that they were all really upset with having to make yet another design. It's a testament to the lack of confidence the judges have about this group.

I went over to Bravo to rate the designs judged last night and I noticed that Karalyn modeled Leanne's bridesmaid dress. I also noticed that that dress did not go down the BP runway. Kenley used her bridesmaid dress in her show, but, as far as I could see, she was the only one. Korto's bride's dress was not in her show, but there is the one with the long white ruffle in front that we thought was a bride dress.

We liked Kenley's bride dress, especially with the hat!, but it did bring back disturbing memories of that old horror movie Freaks, where the circus freaks turned the acrobat into a sad little bird woman (scary end scene!)
How do you suppose Kenley got all those feathers on the dress? Would they stay on or would it be a one-night outfit before it starts to molt?

Kenley's runway model did not rock that dress - wrong figure type. Hate the shoes.

Oh, and if anyone is confused about HOW Kenley could have copied the McQueen dress... this dress was shown during fashion week in FEBRUARY 08. Don't think this is something from last month's fashion week.

mmm...While I do have my issues with Kenley's attitude I must admit that Kenley and Leanne deserved to be in the top two last night. Jerrell and Korto's outfits were a mess. I did think that Korto's was worse than Jerrell's because she used the same fabric and color and did not distinquish which dress was which. Yes, I was surprised Jerrell was sent home. But at this point in the show I don't think it really matters who was third and who was sent home, I think that the battle for this season's title will be between Kenley and Leanne.

I re-watched this morning and have found myself in awe of all four designers. The extra look thrown at them at the last minute is not unique to this PR, but previous seasons (to my recollection) there have been extra hands to help the designers complete their looks. This season, with only 12 hours, there were no helpers yet all four completed their dresses and all were happy with the final outcome. To that I say, WOW! Kudos to all four. Maybe Tim loves them because they work hard and are true to themselves. I guess that is why I love them, too. Not for their personalities, but for their passion for their own point of view and the drive to design the best examples of it.

I would've loved to see Jerrell in the top than Korto. I think Korto's pallette was ugly and her dress was a little... too much, much like the judges said. Jerrell's was over-embellished, but I thought it was a thousand times more beautiful than Korto's... And Jerrel's bridesmaide's dress was way better than Korto's too. I'm sad to see him go in her place. =[ though I've never really liked Korto or her designs. I'm glad that Kenley made it to the finals because even though she may bea "borrower", she does give her outfits her own little flair. I think everyone gets their design aesthetic from SOMEWHERE... hers is just more obvious. I'm glad she apologized, too, though the rest of the designers didn't seem to think that redeemed her much. Leanne's dresses wer beautiful. Her bridesmaid dress was by far my favorite!

It broke my little heart to see Tim get so emotional and all teary! I can't believe he got that way over this group versus other groups... I would've liked to see him tearing up over Christian or Jay, who were both much more talented than any of these three, I think. But anyway, it endears me to Tim. I love that man

I think Leanne is going to be the winner this season. Her design aesthetic is very much her own and she never fails to impress the judges, it seems. I'd like to see her take it all.

What'd you guys think of the previews for the next show? Looks like some more drama frmo Kenley! Can't wait to see that pan out... I wonder if she loses if she'll throw a tantrum? hahaha...
