New York Fashion Week Spring 09 **SPOILERS**

I've been out of the loop, can anyone help? Why didn't PR5 coincide with FW? There are 8 still left and I doubt all 8 will be showing. Does anyone know why?

I can only think that they simply don't care as much this season whether or not the finalists are leaked, as long as the winner isn't leaked.

Two designers are going this coming Wednesday 9/10, leaving six. The PR fashion show is Friday 9/12. I seriously doubt they are going to spend the money on 3 additional designers making collections, especially since they probably won't have the time to show 6 collections in their time slot at Bryant Park. My guess is, they'll live with people finding out the final 3 via blogs and TMZ, since they can still keep the winner a secret.

I'm dubious as well. I mean, why bother crowning a winner if almost half the entire cast gets exposure at Bryant Park? The more they pile on the decoy designers each season, it starts becoming pointless to name a "final 3" even if the other 3 collections aren't shown on TV. They are still seen by anyone who runs to the Getty Images site a few hours after the actual fashion show.

I think I got a virus last season when I was searching around the web looking for FW images. I spent HOURS trying to stop the crap coming up on my screen...until I remembered that I could shut down, start in safe mode and then take my computer back to an earlier setting. Sheesh!

6 designers showing? How lame is that, is being in the top three any achievement anymore? The winner at least still gets prize money, but top three should be exciting for showing at fashion week...but if they keep tacking on decoys, its not even an achievement anymore!

anyways, i think Kenley, Korto, Terri, Leanne, Jerrel, and Suede are probably the six that are showing, if it is six that is....Suede and Joe are probably interchangeable though, Blayne is definitely out methinks lol

Well, if there are 6 showing, they most certainly won't all have the budget that the top 3 will. In the first series, Austin got to show, but with no budget he was only able to show designs that he had already created, which meant that it wasn't a cohesive collection. The final contestants will have the usual budget (what is it, $8000- $10,000?) with which to create a their collections. So I don't really have a problem with decoys on the runway.

I do believe that Chris March had the same budget since he was still in competition with Rami, but I read in a Sweet P interview that she had a slightly lower amount (she didn't give the number) and less time.

So if they give the final three $8,000, I'd imagine the two (or three) decoys probably only get $6-$5K for their collection.

I just read a blurb over at USA TODAY online that confirmed that the remaining six desginers are all showing at Bryant Park. It also said that the rumor is that [[Jennifer Lopez]] will be the guest judge for the season finale...
