Re: New York Fashion Week Spring 09 **SPOILERS**

Was anyone else embarassed when Korto started dancing at the end of her show? Katarina was looking back at her as if to hold her hand and it looked awkward. I'm really scared that Leanne didn't have her usual model and the model she walked out with was not her model on the show or did not resemble any model on the show, for that matter.

Actually, the only model I recognize from the show on Leanne's runway was Tia who was Suede's model. And the model she walked out with was Wakeema Hollis (correct me if I'm wrong). I hope she was one of the top 3.

Re: New York Fashion Week Spring 09 **SPOILERS**

Thank you everyone for putting up the articles and the photos!

Being a Leanne fan, of course I loved her collection of airy sculptural pieces. My only quarrel is that she used a 2" white belt with gold buckle on three of the outfits. The first shown in the NY Fashion Mag slideshow was a separate that maybe didn't need a belt, or one made out of the skirt fabric, rather than the off the wall bluefly accessory belt. Other than that quarrel, I loved the way her look floated down the runway.

My next fave has been Korto and I loved her bronze color choices (though not for spring/summer) with the touches of blue. I noticed on one of her long gowns that she used a roman drapery effect for the hemline. Interesting.

Kenley really did imitate or tried to imitate other designers or embellish on past challenges. The melding of two prints was so DVF but badly done in her choice of prints to meld.

Suede may win an upcoming challenge with his remark about being inspired by the Bluefly challenge, so he may be the fourth designer rather than Jerrell.

I can't wait to see how this season plays out!

ETA: Regarding Leanne not having Caralynn (sp) as her model...I couldn't be happier because I've felt that in the last two challenges she hadn't really shown the designs at their best in her still photos. In both she is in a hip shot stance which throws off the linear, and with her head forward. In the advant garde challenge her head placement skewered the connection of the exo-skeleton to the top of her head. Anyway, from what I saw on the runway photos, the models she used pulled off her look for the show.

I'm scared she lost Karalyn(?) because of the implications (she could have been auf'ed and is not one of the final 3), not really because I loved Karalyn.

Re: New York Fashion Week Spring 09 **SPOILERS**

The more I think about it, the more I realize that Kenley probably won one of the next two challenges and got rid of the horrendous Germaine and picked up Topacio, which started a domino effect of Joe picking up Karalyn, Leann - Tia, and Suede was eliminated because Jerrell still has Nicole. I didn't see any PR5 girls in Suede's show.

Thanks, again, for posting these links. They are the best photos of the designs online.

Re: New York Fashion Week Spring 09 **SPOILERS**

I wasn't overly impressed by Leanne's or Korto's they were nice but I have seen better from other designers in other seasons. Kind of think this is worst final collections in PR history IMO.

Re: New York Fashion Week Spring 09 **SPOILERS**

The sound is broken on my computer. So I watched slideshows of each show.

1. LeeAnne--good job girl. I'm not normally the LeeAnne fan. I have thought that her clothes were boring. But the show clothes and the construction were just awesome. Yes, clearly the winner. Hope she has a long and success full career.

2. Tie for me between Jerrell and Korto There was a few of Kortos I thought were beautiful. And I think Jerrell just leans towards dark and gold. He probably went short short on the skirts to say spring. The shortness probably scares people off. If you are going to go short, it's a good idea to throw other silhouettes in for people with not so great legs to love.

4. Fran Dresser and Suede I feel are on equal levels. Out of the two, I prefer Suede's. The color said spring. The tone was festive. There was a huge fitting problem on one of the girls. He might not have had time to fit her. He might have lacked resources if he was the alternate. Good job Suede. Want to see more of you. Bye Bye chokey Fran.

5. Joe--couldn't have been any clearer that he wasn't one of the finalists. He didn't show spring, and he didn't show fall. He tooked two not so good looks and stretched them into 10. Shame, it would have been good exposure for him if he would have put out a good collection.

Re: New York Fashion Week Spring 09 **SPOILERS**

My final three: Leeanne, Korto, and Jerrell. I can see the money in those oufits. I can see money spent also in Suede's.

I don't see money spent in the other two.
