Re: New York Fashion Week Spring 09 **SPOILERS**

NYMag.com has the collections posted (links below by designer). NYMag.com has been my favorite, but the Jezebel site seems to be giving it a run for its money.

Jerell

Joe

Kenley

Korto

Leanne

Suede

Re: New York Fashion Week Spring 09 **SPOILERS**

My money's on Leanne with Korto a close second. No one else came even close to either of these two collections as far as originality, to say nothing of cohesiveness. I think Joe and Suede were decoys and Kenley sniped her way in.

While I think Korto and Leanne are the top 2, I really liked Joe's stuff. I'm probably the only one here, however, The pictures from the NY fashion web site are much clearer and offer the viewer a better view of the designs.

Thanks aga. I liked Leannes best, as well. I liked a few of Kenley's pieces and nothing much else really. Korto had a one but I didn't care for it as an entire collection. The rest of them, no way. Jerrel's was terrible!

Wow, I REALLY love Jerell's and Leanne's designs! It also seems like there are a few ANTM girls walking again, including Bianca (C9), Eugena (C7), and maybe even Naima (C4 winner).

I really hated Suede's collection. Very cheap looking, IMHO.

Danielle (C6 winner) was in Korto's show as well.

And the fabulous NAZRI was in Suede's which is scary. Poor thing stuck in that mess of a "show".

Re: New York Fashion Week Spring 09 **SPOILERS**

I forgot Jerrell in my previous post but did so unintentionally. His work wasn't the best but it certainly wasn't the worst. Did anyone notice he ditched the silly hats? Ironically Kenley added them to her collection. Joe's collection seemed like it would be somewhat marketable and some on Jerrell's were good too. But Suede? WHAT was he thinking?

Re: New York Fashion Week Spring 09 **SPOILERS**

It looks like Kenley just repeated what she has done during the show in her collection, so this is why I think she is not one of the finalists.

I like Korto's the best. Leanne's is good, too, but too much folding for my taste. And I spent 2 hours doing ironing last night, and when I saw Leanne's collection the first thing I thought was "how are they going to iron these dresses?" (Note to myself: take a vacation!)

Colorwise, Leanne's collection was a little weak for my taste. Korto's was really beautiful, bright, and lively. Jerrell's was ok. I didn't like what Joe or Suede created. At this point, I hope Korto wins.

Re: New York Fashion Week Spring 09 **SPOILERS**

I just looked at the Getty pics again and Tim Gunn's all over Christian Siriano. I mean his hand is on Christian's leg/knee in several pictures. I know Tim's a lovey kind of person, but it's really obvious he truly likes this guy. Anyone else notice?

Re: New York Fashion Week Spring 09 **SPOILERS**

Salon.com has an article about the shows, along with a video: "Project Runway" show at New York Fashion Week | Salon Arts & Entertainment.
I must say, most of Suede's collection is, IMHO, hideous and, in at least one case, wasn't fitted well. I love Kenley's cream colored dress with the flowers running diagonally down the dress. It was just lovely.

I think it's going to be between Korto and LeAnne. Both collections were stunning.
