| Re: Worst PR Season Ever? I do agree that Tim & Nina seem to have "checked out", but I can't say that the designers are lacking in personality. Unfortunately most of them seem to have turned on the personality for TV. I do think Leann & Jerrell & Stella seem very real, as does Terri & Joe most of the time. I think what's gotten this season so down is the talent level was soooo high last year, that these designers are a huge letdown for the most part. Korto & Leann & Jerrell are the most creative, and Terri & Leann seem to be the most talented sewers. (Stella has me going back & forth.) But there's no Christian or Chris or Rami who all had both creativity & impecable skills. So while I don't think this is the worst season (S1 wins hands down), I do think we've expected each year to "set the bar higher" and it's not always going to be that way. You can't keep going up & up with unknowns, eventually you have to have a dip. |

| Re: Worst PR Season Ever? It just seems like there would be, at least, one "stand out" in the group. There isn't any one person to root for. NOBODY! Of course season one was the best! Each season it took a couple of weeks to "into" the new batch of designers. This hasn't happened AT ALL this season. Really, I could care less about who wins. I just don't want Korto (because she has such a bad attitude) to make it through to the end. I also just hate her big fat ass (sorry, but I want to see a little glamour, not plus size). |

| Re: Worst PR Season Ever? All the reality shows I watch seem to have "best seasons ever" with all subsequent seasons going down in quality. For me, nothing will ever compare to the 1st and 2nd seasons of my favorite shows: American Idol America's Got Talent Survivor Project Runway Top Chef Dancing with the Stars Or, maybe I just get bored after awhile. Or maybe the producers aren't able to find contestants with both talent and compelling personalities. I don't know what it is. All I know is the shows are going down hill for me (although Top Chef seems to have kept my interest the longest) |

| Re: Worst PR Season Ever? The thing is that for the first seasons (two or three), the contestants don't know what to expect. They don't know what to expect of the show nor of a possible win. Therefore it seems that they are driven by a more genuine desire to work and make it. Then when they know what happens they try to apply themselves to be what they think is needed. In PR, nobody of the winners, or hardly even contestants, have emerged as "the next great fashion designer". Sure, they work in fashion, having a boutique or still trying to make it, but a win doesn't equal success. Same for ANTM, nobody has become a world famous supermodel, in Hell's Kitchen, they get a job for a year, then with a little publicity and that job on your resume it's up to you to find the next job. So if the contestants go in, knowing that they may get the prize but knowing that it won't take them all the way, they have to resort to being a "reality character" so they'll be remembered. As for AI it's a bit different as fans has more power after the show to make a difference. Fans buy albums. But fans can't impact magazines to choose a certain model, or people to invest in certain designers. Just some thoughts of mine.

Glamour has nothing to do with size. It has to do with attitude and confidence. Simone is a tiny little thing and had no glamour that we could see. I wouldn't consider Victorya or Jillian glamorous either. Laura, Christian, Uli, Kara Saun, Nick, Chris, Rami...THEY were glamorous IMO. | |

| Re: Worst PR Season Ever? I have to say I am usually at the tv the moment a new episode is coming on and this season I have actually missed a couple of episodes. I'll catch them a week or so later on repeats but normally just flip back and forth because I don't honestly like any of the designers this season. Not one designer stands out to me as someone I would want designing my clothes. They almost seem ungrateful and that is a huge turn off for me.

| Re: Worst PR Season Ever? Yeah, Yeah.... I know that the size of her ass doesn't have anything to do with how well she designs. Some of my favorite designers (from PR) have had fat asses but they've also had great personalities, good senses of humor and were very creative. Even I thought of weaving the seat belts when I saw them. They were the equivalent of the tablecloths in the first challenge. She's a bore and no more talented than the woman who does my alterations (IMO). I just think that she's only getting noticed because there's no one to get really excited about this season. |

| Re: Worst PR Season Ever? I was sooo happy to find this thread. Now I know I'm not the only one who is majorly let down by this season of PR. I honestly don't care who wins this time and that's a big disappointment because for me, part of the fun is really being drawn to one or more of the designers and cheering them on, along with really not being able to stand at least one each season. The only designer who stands out in my mind at all is Blayne - but that's not a good thing, because the only reason he stands out is because he's so obviously trying to be another Christian, and failing miserably.

| Re: Worst PR Season Ever? I actually love this season because of the talent. I do not watch this for the personalities and the villains and the drama. I am actually looking for talent and there are numerous in this bunch. Season 2 had Santino and I thought he was one-note and when he switched note, there was really nothing else there. I thought Andrae was talented but was cut off soon. Of the 4 that showed in FW, I thought Kara Janx's was the best and most cohesive (too bad she was the decoy) and Chloe was a dismal winner. Season 3, I thought only Keith Michael had taste and when he was disqualified, that was that. Jeffrey had the best collection but comparing his work during the season with his runway collection, I'm a little dubious if he actually made all those pieces. And Michael seems to design for the Kim Kardashians rather than the Tinsley Mortimers -- Tacky Onassis! |
