People are nuts to spend that much for those items. I sure wouldn't pay $198 for Anya's jumper. Of course, I don't like it so I wouldn't buy it for $20. Bert's dress is ok but $98??? I'd look for something similar at Target or Walmart.

Wow. Thanks for sharing! That is awesome. I'm a huge fan of both Anya and Bert, but for someone like Bert coming back to the game of life, it's especially rewarding.
It makes sense that Bert is outselling Anya. $98 vs. $198 is a big difference. Plus, I'm not sure where the average girl would wear a jumper like Anya's.
I liked Bert's outfits the best this episode (both of them).
Very few of the designs appeared to be inspired by the '70's to me. Yes, there were jumpsuits, plaids, obvious oversized stiches, etc but I just didn't get that '70's vibe from them. And then there was Bert's short dress. That kind of unexpected front and back aspect was definitely reminescient of that era. Although I believe it would have been a mini dress in the '70's, maybe this was Bert's way of not being too literal yet staying true to the era.
Back then, I would have bought that dress as soon as I saw it!
The prices on these garments seem fair to me. I suspect they are much better quality than Target or Walmart!
Both of my girls (ages 9 and 4) have jumpsuit shorts. I think after the first time wearing the jumpsuit they both hated it. They said it was too difficult and time consuming to undo everything to use the restroom. I laughed...practical girls. As I watched this episode I thought of my girls comment and wondered about women who wear jumpsuits. To me, it isn't worth it.
I think, through my Benedryl haze, the challenge was to make 70's inspired clothing with a modern edge. Anya's jumpsuit was really clever but really unwearable for most women. Couldn't see me wearing something that was cut to my bellybutton to work. I remember all too well having to take everything off to go to the bathroom....ugh!
I loved Bert's dress & would/could wear that to work in a heartbeat. However it is $98 and sleeveless. Not a good combination in NE Pennsylvania. I am not sure I will still love $98 worth of in come June 2012.
I think they are finally pretty much sorting themselves out as to the finalists. I would be surprised if it wasn't Vicktor, Anya & Bert in the finale. Josh is too dramatic, Nina hates Laura, Kimberly's desgins are pretty forgetful save the Nina challange. Am I forgetting someone?
Not missing anyone who is left. ;)
I do agree though and I think they're setting us up now for a Victor, Anya and Bert final three, which I think overall will be well earned. All three have - at least so far - only had one bad design. In Bert's case he didn't try, the other two were just flat out bad outfits.
To be honest though - save Victor's bit prickly attitude in not helping others, design wise I'd be fairly happy with any of them winning.
To be truthfully honest I doubt I would be much help to anyone I was in competition with. Vicktor isn't going to be there working for the winning designer. I agree Bert did phone in the pet store challenge but if you took off the pet store items he made a perfectly simple Y wearable LBD. The problem with a lot of designers is that they overdo/overwork/over design their lines. Michael Kors does it & while I adore most of what he does some of his line is way too, too much.
