I liked all the outfits tonight - even the ones in the bottom. I liked Mila's Crayola design. The cut of the dress wasn't right with the design but it was close.

What is the mystery being discussed and what thread is it in? Thanks.Quote:

Anthony was certainly entertaining! I expect to see him doing red carpet commentary on E or something. He is too sassy to waste!:laugh
The Mercedes Benz Fashion Week thread. Since it's still locked, I will post the spoilers with the spoilers tag here (warning - if you don't want spoilers, please disregard rest of the post):Quote:

Seth Aaron, even for being 38, knows how to IMHO make something that suits all ages that fits classy yet hip. I can't say that for quite a few designers - some tend to really be one note. (This is why I'm so hoping Mila is outed for being one note like Anthony was this week).Quote:

That said, on Anthony - he does make some nice clothes, but I would love to see him do commentary too. He has the right personality for it and admittedly if he thinks something could be improved upon, I could see him show through designs doing it. There are a few things he can do with his talents and skills here. I personally think he suffered the Christopher complex - stress got to him long term (even if hidden) and it showed in his work becoming one note and not as interesting. Christopher had wonderful outfits, up to his "vampire bride" costume, but then he had a couple of weak outfits and he snowballed from there.
Seeing these patterns BTW gives me an idea for a challenge - the designers ought to have to choose a fused glass piece (diachroic and plain glass fused glass pieces) and base an outfit on the jewelry piece they receive. I've been getting the reverse - seeing some of the designs and finding inspiration to make pendants based on the ideas. They're not literal, but there was an outfit during the metal challenge that lead to me designing a certain fused glass piece. I think it was Jonathan's copper colored one - and I ended up with a steampunk type of copper and blue colors of diachroic.
Though I like SethAaron's design, I thought he's always making jackets and pants. And even though I can't stand Emilo, I thought his design was the best. Now I really loved Jay's design. He made up for last week disaster. I didn't get all the hoopla over Maya's design. I thought it looked to Halloweenish and could probably be worn as such. Mila's design was a hot mess. The model couldn't even walk down the runway. I love Anthony to death, but it was his time to go and he did it so graciously, plus he has the best parting gift of all (the cover of Marie Claire magazine). Bye Anthony, I am going to really miss your humor on the show.:crying

That would be great for him to do. Especially the Fashion Police section with Mr. Jay Alexander and knock off Joan Rivers and Khole Kardashian because they don't know fashion.:rofl:rofl
DVR'd the show and watched it this morning.
Mila should have gone. There was nothing terribly creative about either her fabric design or the dress itself.
Seth Allen should have won. Fabric was great, design was lovely, and craftsmanship was far and above anything else sent down the runway.
Those are my opinions, and I'm stickin' to 'em. I'll miss Anthony!
I really am floored Emilio won this challeng! WTH? :angryman His dress was mediocre at best and es:heartsa in his fabric, very confusing, it looked like es heart sa. Very odd.
Honestly i thought Maya should have won. Her fabric was STUNNING! And while her model's hair was kinda fug I understand why it was done. Seth Aaron's design was nice too and did deserve the top spot i just wish he would do something other than a jacket and pants.
Oh and was i the only one who wanted to give Jonathan a big bear hug on the runway?? Awww sweetie. The dress itself was nice but i gotta agree with the way the jacket zipped in the back did make it look like a straight jacket. If he left it with the opening in the front it would have been better.
AH, so THAT'S why Tim was questioning Emilio if he was saying "Emilio loves Seth Aaron." I was wondering about that :laughQuote:

Agree with both - and would love to see or have fabric that looked like that in stores. Both would make a lovely bowtie quilt pattern block - even together IMHO.Quote:

That's probably more why he was in the bottom two - that's an outfit that is tough for a model to quickly take off and show the rest of the outfit. Out of all the fabrics though, I felt his was the worst design. Anthony's was a good pattern, but really dark colors that hurt him more than helped him. And Mila's was second worst - it's a print that I've seen elsewhere in similar form, and the outfit was almost like a cigarette wearing a sarape. I did like the coat; however, that's the only thing I liked.Quote:
