3/04 Show Discussion **SPOILERS**

I thought Emilio should have been sent home last night as he had the worst outfit. I think the judges or producers saved him based on previous work and I do not think that was fair. In addition he blatantly lied to the judges about what he originally intended. Couldn't the judges smell the BS dropping out of his mouth. I lost respect for the man because of his attitude about not being able to design a dress out of hardware material. The other designers were able to embrace the challenge why couldn't he? Is Emilio just too good for this show?

I think it's going to be Jay, Maya and Amy for the final three.

They're my picks, too, (for the whole season) from the very start, with Jay winning.

Emilio is gone for me...I didn't like Jesse either, but at least he covered his model! Like the travesty of a nude model wearing a sheer "gown" was NOT sent home last year? I guess we should have expected it.

I have wondered if the reason Emilio did get saved while Jesse went home was that the judges hadn't forgotten how Jesse and Caite threw Ping under the bus with the team challenge and how ugly they were about it. (Mind you, the comments may have been warranted; it was the attitude both showed toward her as though she was a peon). It's why you keep your mouth shut on these challenges - especially since I would think that any of the designers would've outed Emilio for his lie if they weren't worried the comment could affect them later on.

This is only my second season watching this show, but I don't quite understand why he didn't answer the direct question. He was asked "What happened, Emilio" and I don't get why he didn't just say he had something else in mind and ran out of time and $$$ while shopping. Do they just cut people for poor shopping skills or something ?

Tim Gunn was there when they were out of time, and must have heard when the cashier told Emilio that he didn't have enough $$$. Perhaps this is why he was kept because he had an extenuating circumstance plus he didn't try to blame it on time or money, but only on himself.

My love for the local guy is still strong. I'm rooting for a Seth Aaron win, frankly.

I don't care if Jay's belt was made from trash bags, I want it! What he did was really incredible.

I'm bored of Mila's outfits. They're uninteresting to me.

It really, really bothered me that Emilio flat-out lied to the judges. Who, with integrity, would do that? He wasn't accepting responsibility for it, he was masking his mistake. Accepting responsibility would have been saying that he didn't have enough money, and he didn't leave any time to fix that. Both of which were his fault. He made bad decisions from the get-go. Even if he wanted to do his macrame dress thing, he should have known that that would be an incredible amount of work and gotten something for a back-up plan so he'd at least be sure his model would be covered. That being said, I wouldn't have outed him.

It kind of disgusted me to see him like also, but in the end, this is a reality game show. We all know that reality tv show contestants do some pretty dirty stuff to stay in the game, and that's what Emilio did. With that said, he's probably my least favorite of those in the game. Him, and Jay, who really annoys me.

I'm just saying that even before the show started, I posted somewhere that these 3 were my final 3 picks and with Jay winning. I've done the same with Christian Siriano, Keanne Marshall, and Sunny Fong of PR Canada (before their seasons started).

I bet that the next show will have the designers waking up and discussing how Emilio should have been eliminated granted he did the worst. And maybe someone would even say something about him lying to the judges. Just a hunch... had a dream about the whole thing and woke up ala Allison Dubois.
