3/04 Show Discussion **SPOILERS**

I love Jay's outfit glad he won. I started staring at my trash bags thinking what I could make I really love Anthony's dress because it looked more wearable. The colors were beautiful and soft. I didn't understands the judges comments.

I think they put Anthony in the bottom three because while well made, it was too safe IMHO. The whole "soft" concept was bunk only because there were other outfits that looked the same there (Maya's shift and Jay's leather outfit). I will make one argument that does agree with their choice though - his accessory was a simple metal band belt around her waist, which showed the "safe" concept. Had he embellished it I think he'd been more in the middle category - safe but not superb. That said, to make metal look like cloth is NOT easy - Maya's necklace is one of those here - had she not said she used mesh for the collar necklace, I wouldn't have believed her.

It also admittedly helps that for the most part he takes criticism and won the biggest challenge that they've ever given - the cover of Marie Claire magazine. Personally, I think he'll take the criticism, learn from it and work harder to improve it. Shows in his work.

Jesse's dress looked like something I made in my 7th grade Art class with foil. No buts about it, it was a total hot mess! The judges were right on picking him to go home. He never did wow me with his designs.

I agree on the design - it was badly made. She looked like a teapot to me here. The outfit the week before has been done, and other outfits were just bad.

His attitude and IMHO his superior "I'm right and better than you" attitude it looked like he had with the judges yesterday didn't bode well in his favor. It looked like he wouldn't accept criticism and that can make people go "Well, you want to do your own thing, so we'll oust you and let you."

Okay, Emilio's swim suite wasn't that bad, I've seen worse and much less on the beach. I think the Victoria Secret models would rock that outfit in a Men's magazine. Now, my problem with Emilio is that everything he makes has these stupid strings attached to it. Enough already dude. Mature women don't want strings on their outfits.

I agree - though I'm at a loss as to why stainless steel washers and cord were over $100. Washers are not that expensive, even the large ones. I just wish he had been more honest too and said "well, I was going to do a dress, but then I got the inspiration to make the suit instead." I don't respect flat out lies.

I also didn't care for Mila's outfit because it looked to painful to wear. The model was walking down the runway like the Bride of Frankinstein. Mila is another one hit wonder with the color blocking. That's wearing thin with me as well.

Mila is a one trick pony with the color blocking - and I think the only reason she hasn't been outed for it is because she's had mostly good designs.

When it gets down to 8 or so though, she'd better alter things quickly or she will be outed for that reason. The challenge next week might actually be her downfall, if they have to show something else besides what they've been doing in their styles.

Maya's and Amy's outfits were awesome. I think it's going to be Jay, Maya and Amy for the final three. Everybody else are just there for the experience.

I agree here; however, Amy is a wild card to me because I think that Seth Aaron or Anthony could sneak in there and snatch one or two of those spots. They have had several good looks as well, and both learn and improve from their critiques when in top or bottom three.

I was absolutely FLOORED when Jesse was eliminated over Emilio! WTF?! Emilio stood there and lied to the judges about his design! He was not being creative or clever in creating a bikini design while everyone else created a dress, he had to create a bikini because of his piss poor shopping skills. Unbealivable! It was such a tacky, vulgar design.

While Jesse's design wasnt perfect by any means he should NOT have been sent packing!

I loved the outfit that Jay made out of the bags.
Looked really high class in my book and I sure would wear that outfit.

I also think Emilio should have gotten the boot, just for making up lies alone but his swim suit was terrible and a child could have made that.

On the other hand I was not sorry to see Jesse go either

I agreed with the winner. That outfit did not look like it was made out of trash bags. And it was gorgeous. I did think it was funny that they praised Jay for his outfit NOT looking like it came from a hardware store, but ragged on Anthony because he made his dress look like cloth???? I was really high on Emilio at first, but now I'm over his designs. He should have gone home. His lie to the judges partially saved him. Eh. He didn't throw anyone under the bus at least.

I'm hoping for Jay and Seth to be in the top three. And probably Amy as well.

Emilio is gone for me...I didn't like Jesse either, but at least he covered his model! Like the travesty of a nude model wearing a sheer "gown" was NOT sent home last year? I guess we should have expected it.

Yea I didn't really understand that either, how they praised Jay for his design not looking like trashbags but rag Anthony because his did not either. But either way I was really impressed with Jay's look. It was phenominal and definatly should have won! But I did find his little "this is my 2nd win" to be a bit cocky.

Oh yea that was Mitchell that did that. But at least he was sent home early. I have this weird feeling Emilio is gonna be hanging around for awhile

Im not really sure I understand everybody's love for Amy's design this week. Yea it was nice and the sandpaper made to look like different textures was nice but other than that i dont really remember anything great about her dress. Dont get me wrong it was good but I dont really think it she was robbed of a top 3. All the right people were in the top for me.

I thought Jay's was good too, but I personally liked Mila's more. It really fit the challenge. You could see that it was unconventional but it still worked. I noticed the huge disconnect too from Jay to Anthony too and was really appalled. The same thing happened for the other challenge he won, and I didn't think he deserved to win that either. When something strange is used he can get away with making it look real but nobody else can.

Emilio washer dress bikini was horrible, but I feel like it COULD have worked. It was just... what the hell was with that piece above the bottom? I know it couldn't stay up, but damn, it looked horrible. And the pieces looked very sloppy. Perhaps if there was a better placement or something. The pink saved it IMO. I Imagine if it was in black.

Ok so I went back and looked at the pics from last night's show and there were some things I missed.

Jonathan: OMG his dress was amazing! The texture and rich colors were stunning, how did i miss that.

Seth Aaron: OMG did anyone noticed that he had his initials S.A. painted on the model's neck?? I was wondering what that black stuff was on her. His dress was ok, I didn't really like the banged up, bumpy looking bodice. But the chain links on her shoes were nice.

Amy: Ok so at a closer look yeah her dress was pretty amazing. Still not sure if she was robbed of a top 3 spot but still really, really nice with the sandpaper fanned out.

Maya: The necklace and "coat" were really nice but other than that her dress was boring.

Everyone else is forgettable *cough, Ben, cough*

Ben is the invisible designer this year. He just does not get all that much time in front of the camera. Won't we all be surprised if he ends up winning?!?!

Here's my take on last night:

Amy - was robbed by not being put in the Top Three. I liked that design even better than I liked the spiral-notebook coffee filter, vacuum cleaner bag design that Kelli did in Season Five.

Emilio - who will now be called LLPOF (liar liar pants on fire) should have gone home.

Mila - should be made to use just ONE fabric next week. Her color blocking has been done to death.

Jay - thought you were doomed when you picked up the trash bags. Stella would be amazed!

I hated Ben's look. It should have been eliminated. SUPER wrinkled looking, kinda ugly color, almost no design... its' just one of those outfits that was bad but overlooked IMO.
