Favs: Maya & Jay--both designs were knocked right out of the park! They should have won.

Also gotta give snaps to Jesus & Amy for their looks this week. It was really, really good--big improvement on Jesus' part from last 2 weeks

Once again I HATE whoever is doing the photography at Lifetime. Horrible, horrible job. The background is not consistent (it is tilted as well in one), some are of poses and others walking (do them when they're walking, not at the end, they don't' even have their body turned straight to the camera!), there is too much orange in the white balance, and the lighting isn't the best either. I am very shocked at how poorly done they are.

I agree about Maya's dress, Raisin, being the top high-end design. And I get that Mila was doing something sixties-inspired, but it looked dated, I thought, rather than 'fresh' which I think is what Michael Kors said about it. I think the judges really reward designers when they step outside of the 'gown' box, but for a high-end look, a gown is pretty appropriate.

Maya should've won! I am not a fan of what Mila does. I just don't think she knows how to accentuate the female body. I thought I would like the yellow and black ball gown that Anthony and Seth Aaron did. It looked totally different on the runway. I thought it had a life to it in the work room. Maybe I didn't look at it closely enough because it was not good on the runway. It was Ping's time to go. I just wish Jesse and his model didn't have to be such jerks and kick her while she was down.

Either they have to make a rule that the designers can't use black anymore, or they have to paint the set a different color.

I miss seeing colors on the runway...

For the most part, I like the designs. I like Jesse's the least though because you can see his attitude toward Ping in it - he could've tried to be creative IMHO, even with the flareups with the duo and time constraints.

Then again - he's the only designer this season who has rubbed me the wrong way - not in the annoying way (That's Ping - and to me it was the remembrance way as I've had roommates similar to her in enthusiasm but hard to understand), but just the Irina-type way.
