I've never seen one of the designers have so much hostility toward another designer this early in a season.

I can't agree more. Ping's design the first round was well liked and really great. I don't know why Jessie is so disparaging to her.

I still haven't seen most of the first episode. Did Ping and Jesse have a run-in or is it just that he thinks she's not a good designer?

I think it's that he doesn't think she is a good designer. Her last look was pretty bad. But Jessie just faught it from the start.

I think he does not respect her as a designer and then doesn't appreciate her personality.
