I'm in the same boat as you. I'm also seeing people that are making me think, "when did that person join the show?"Quote:

Hi guys! Though I've been watching since season 2, I rarely post in this thread, but after last night....How in the world was Ping not auf'd? I'll admit I'm no fashion expert, but really? The poor girl had her bottom all exposed and not only that, but it was the most hideously unflattering dress I've ever seen! I mean, ummm....maybe I'm just not understanding Ping's aesthetic but the dress was just really unattractive :nerd I agree with the posters who note that Ping herself is interesting, but that dress was, literally, butt ugly! (can I say that? :D)
I don't get it either.
Ping's dress not only emphasized the hips, which I can't think of any woman that wants that, it didn't cover her rear. Seriously?
I must not understand fashion. :(
I think the thing that saved Ping was that she was in the top three last week. The judges know she is capable of creating a design they like, so they are giving her a chance to see if she can do it again. (Altho I think it was bs that she tried to make it sound like she didn't understand the challenge.)
I agree; Ping has an interesting design aesthetic and a very different approach to construction. Clearly that let her down this week, but I think the judges want to give her another chance to see what develops. Jesus, on the other hand, has had two weeks of boring and didn't live up to the challenge this week by ditching the burlap as much as possible.Quote:

Wow, does anybody else not like the winner they chose? Personally I didn't like his design at all - it looked boring and somewhat cliche, lack of color, and it was like fraying near the top. Amy should have won IMO. It still looked like burlap, but she smoothed it out and made it look kinda rough but fun and really well done. And Mila took it in a futuristic direction while still being sexy which was really unexpected. But Jay's, I feel like he could have made that out of anything.
I didn't like Jay's design either. When Heidi said, "Jay... you're in..." I cheered. I thought he lost to Mila. But then she followed it with, "...and you're also the winner!" I was like, dangit! Nice way to spice things up, Heidi, but wrong choice of winner.
They said they had to create a "party look" this challenge. When they said that, I was thinking of a club dress, not a cocktail dress. I guess they could have gone either way, but with the club dress in mind, I thought Mila should have won. Amy created a better cocktail dress than Jay though, so I would have been happier with either Mila or Amy winning.
I thought Pamela had such potential to become a character, especially how she listed her favorite designer as "God" in her pre-show questions. :lol But alas, it wasn't meant to be. I didn't think she should have been eliminated. It was a simple dress, except it made her model Sarah look huge. Or maybe Sarah is bigger in the hips? If it is the latter, then Pam definitely shouldn't have gone.
Jesus is Mitchell, except not entertaining. He could have gone for all I cared. I hope he goes soon.
I don't know, they've let their characters go early before. Elisa was eliminated early, and Stella was gone fairly early also. I'd like to see Ping stick around, because she has her own original way of making designs and I find it interesting to watch.Quote:

Ping should have been auf'd this episode for sending that poor girl out on the runway in an ass-less potatoe-sack.
That's the type dung that's unforgivable... I take boring over hideous any day of the week, at least the boring design is wearable.
