french dip, I agree with most of what you said.

Carol Hannah's dress was fabulous and I don't see it as a Uli knock off. Her city was Palm Beach so any resemblence to Uli's Miami Beach creations was due to the limitation of the local.

Althea should have won that! I loved it.

This should have been a satisfying challenge because they had free rein to design something without restriction and even had an inspiration so as not to feel like they were twisting in the wind. The budget could have been bigger but I don't think that would have helped.

Irina. I got Aspen but an open back sweater and fur coat vest makes little sense in a cold climate. Poetic license afoot, of course. Most of what we see from top designers on the runway does not translate to real life anyway. ho hum

Barring any unforseen disasters it seems like we will see Carol Hannah, Althea and Irina at Bryant Park.

Gordana needs to apply some makeup and stop over plucking her brows. She is an attractive woman but always looks tired and disheveled.

I'll sum my opinions up as quickly as possible:

Christopher - His dress was MUCH improved over the past week, and don't think he should've gotten bottom two, but I agree with others that his confidence is being trampled over and over again. He's also showing huge signs of fatigue IMHO, and I'm amazed that he's doing this well given those factors. I think he could still wow us, though I sadly think that like Shirin, the stresses of this contest will wear him out and he'll be out this week or next. (I do think though that even with his weaker work, he shows promise and talent with NO fashion degree that some of these more educated stylists lack. He should do well winning this or not).

Gordana - I think she'd won had she not been so self-depreciating. IMHO, I am glad that Heidi called her out for it - I think Heidi actually sees creativity and promise in her well-made designs: She's got the talent and creativity, just now needs the confidence. The dress was gorgeous and for such an elaborate necklace, you wanted something simple. I think the ONLY thing she could've done differently was use a different color than grey - it'd been gorgeous in emerald or a jewel color. I also REALLY loved the necklace and how it was versatile to where you could wear it with other clothes. A dress that can serve more than one use or be worn a lot in some form or fashion is always key in my books.

Irina - Didn't like the backless idea for Aspen, but as someone said, it was the "Dynasty" version of going to Aspen. It was well designed (even if I felt the cowl may have been a little TOO big), even if a bit camel. I don't like her attitude, but at least for the most part she can put her money where her mouth is (she can prove her talk).

Carol Hannah - Loved the dress, and even if it is very similar to Uli's, the style of dress isn't uncommon now. I think she may end up in the three finalists if she can keep up nice consistent work like this.

Nicholas - I think he earned the auf, but the top was pretty. Had he done a skirt with a similar idea (not necessarily white, but a nice color), he would've probably stayed and I think Logan might've been auf'd for being plain jane.

Logan - Personally, I think he should've been gone this week, only because I didn't see fashion in his outfit. That said, I loved the vest with the diagonal closures - I'd love to have that to wear with juggling routines.

Althea - Best way for me to describe Althea's is that I still feel a "same design ideas" vibe from her. Except for the shorts, I felt the out fit was similar to the suits she's made in the show. That said, it was well made - but she's going to HAVE to be more creative or people are going to catch the similarities.

I was afraid Gordana's model would walk the runway naked when they showed the fitting. I really liked her sketch with the loosely pleated bodice, but not the jeweled outlines so much. They are right - she was showing her stress by tearing down her own design, not smiling and playing up that the gorgeous neck piece could be detached and worn as a necklace.

The last two guys standing are straight - LOL! One is married and the other the object of female crushes. It brings me back to Design Star and Kathy Griffin where she played up that she didn't know if she could trust a straight designer and kept asking Antonio if he was sure he wasn't gay.

I think I liked Althea's outfit the best because I could see her scenario of trust fund baby strolling the harbor on her way to Daddy's yacht. The colors and the materials read luxe to me.

I loved Irina's outfit! I thought it was to die for! Perfect for the lodge, with just a hint of skin. Very sexy. The back was a total surprise. Doing backless in Aspen was no different that the nuts that wear sleeveless garments in cold weather in someplace like New York. I really liked Gordana's dress, too. I thought that it was "just right". Not too little, not too much.

I think that Carol, Geordana or Althea should have won, and Irina just safe last night! I thought the camel Aspen was boring and expected. I've seen clothes like that in lodges (when I used to ski in the 70s and 80s)...so what was new? I loved that Geordana's was silver/grey, it was so tied to the skyscraper landscape color of NYC. I saw beach baby now teen or twenty-something in Althea's, and the print Carol picked, and the twists were so South Florida.
I thought Christopher's colors were Santa Fe to me (well, maybe more AZ, but he was closer to the challenge than Nicolas was to Greece).

Irina won with a backless sweater for Aspen? How does that make any sense at all? I get it if the sweater was for inside the lodge and for dress up, but then the vest covering it makes no sense. Boo.

Geordana is her own worst enemy. If she had more confidence in herself, she would make the top three, but at this point I would call it as Althea, Carol Hannah, and Irina. I don't care either way if Althea or Carol Hannah win the whole thing, but please please let it NOT be Irina, ick.

This is without a doubt the least talented group of designers I've seen on "Project Runway" Nobody to compare to Uli, Romi, Christian, Chris March and on and on. The only one with a modicum of talent is Irina who while doing "good" work, is far from inspired. They should get new people for next year. and while Christopher is cute as a bug, he is a terrible designer. Ditto Logan. Poor thing. Oh, and Geordana's son is cute too.

I really didn't think Irina's design, outfit was that great. Logan's, it was very hip, good. Chris, thought he was veryy good this week.

I thought Gordana's dress was OK, but I had a hard time thinking of her as a fashion designer last night when she was wearing a floral strappy sundress over a brown turtleneck. Did I miss the Fashion Memo that this is now in style??
