Project Runway Canada

The Emmy Nominated reality series “Project Runway” is coming to Canada!

Project Runway Canada is an exciting new reality series that gives viewers a unique, behind-the-scenes perspective into the creative process of fashion design.

Twelve talented and hungry fashion designers are given the opportunity of a lifetime – a chance to break in to the notoriously exclusive fashion industry.

To earn this honour they must compete in a series of challenges that will determine who has what it takes to be the next “it” designer.

Our Host heads a panel of industry insiders who will judge the talent and skills of the budding designers, while our mentor provides constructive criticism of their designs along the way.

In each episode one designer is eliminated, until the field is whittled down to only three finalists who will design a collection to show in front of Canada's fashion community.

Ultimately one designer will claim their rightful place in the spotlight, winning the top prize including $100 000 to begin their own fashion line and a feature spread showing their winning collection in the pages of the country’s foremost fashion magazine.

I know it's on LBC, which I have, but does anyone know like when's it on, how many seasons it's had, and when the next one is coming?

I've heard that it's going to be on a Lebanese TV. I've also heard that a Turkish version will be on tv soon.

I'm confused. Are these shows shown in the US? If so how/where?

I would love to see what other countries are doing.

Almost none of the other PR shows have been seen on American TV. Several months ago, Bravo aired a one-day marathon of the UK's Project Catwalk with Kelly Osborne.

PR Canada, PR Australia and PR Philippines are only shown in their native regions. Designerspirene is the name of the Norweigen version, which is the only one I've seen so far that didn't come with English subtitles where necessary.

YouTube-like sites are the only way to see episodes of most of these shows. PR's Wikipedia page is a good starting point to find out more about them. Apparently the UK version has been cancelled after 3 seasons.
