My mind has completely changed. I didn't like what she wore in the pre-show but from what I've seen so far she actually seems to have a very classy style. Her hair/lip color isn't nearly as distracting, either.

Add me to the crowd--she really turned me around. Her coat was beautiful and very HER. And she seemed like a much more likeable person than she did before.
It will be interesting to see what she comes up with.
I'm not on team Laura, but I'll defend her until further notice.![]()
I hate to have early favorites (it dooms them in the long run), but I like her. The coat she made was "her" which is what the judges are looking for. I suspect that we will be able to pick her designs out easily. look for the "deco" piece..

i love this lady. very classy.
she, malan, bonnie, uli and keith are my favorites. oh and michael
Cute way to put it.I agree. So far so good but I am not sure. I think she will be acused of not having a broader range. By the preview it appears she will dress to the teeth, even in the work room. She looks and acts much older than 42. I remember being that age and stunning people who thought I was 30.
I like her a lot.
Okay, I finally figured out who Laura reminds me of!
A bony-chested version of Bree Van De Camp!
I find it difficult to imagine her having 5 children. Just from a conception standpoint. No abandon. Maybe I'm reading her wrong and she can be very passionate. I just see in her work and presnece a sort of ordered approach. Rules of decorum.
I really liked the coat she designed, but I was really offended by her comments about always dressing up. I have three kids, and yes I do drive a minivan, but I don't wear sweatpants but I also don't dress up everyday. There is a middleground and its called "casual" not "sloppy."
I liked her first design, but I also liked Keith, Michael and Robert's designs as well. I have not picked a favorite yet.
