    I'm feeling what you're saying, Nausicaa. Where I'm coming from is my basic understanding of art history informs me that art deco was a definite reaction against art nouveau. I think Starr blurs the line, at the very least. She certainly didn't have as strong a grasp on it as Jay did.

    I agree with what Heidi said (I think it was her), Starr had this idea of what art deco is and ran with it. As you said, the two styles are easily confused (as I may be doing myself), but my initial reaction to the t-shirt was "Oh, that's art nouveau." My reaction was mainly based on the lady. I see what you mean about the fans not being organic enough to really qualify though.

    So it's all good. I'm not hung up about this one.

    Do you guys think that Starr was the least talented out of the twelve designers?

    I kinda think it's Alexandra... her first two dresses were like tube dresses, you don't even need to go to fashion school in order to make those.
