Apparently Smokey has been with Tom for quite some time, and his attachement to the monkey is genuine. One night he was sleeping over at a girl's apartment, and made her drive him home so he could get Smokey.

That is too funny!! I thought he was just sort of playing to the camera with the whole Smokey thing. I wonder what the story is there. I love Smokey.
