    Right.

I didn't pick up on what you were getting at in your message at all

If I had any aspirations to be on a second series of PH, I would certainly not want to after the events of the past couple of episodes.

I'm sure they'd want a second series to be even more outrageous and using actors on the show would guarantee fireworks as they are being paid to react in a certain way and get others riled up.

I think they will always get people to be on these shows who don't care what they do or say. After all, there is going to be a new Joe Millionaire and you would think nobody would fall for that again.

The best reality shows have relatively simple rules, and let the contestants interact with minimal interference.

Survivor is still compelling going into its seventh season. The Amazing Race was beautifully produced, but I think viewers were a little put off by too many contrived results (non-elimination rounds, equalizers within rounds to ensure a close finish). I've enjoyed the Bachelor/Bachelorette.

FOX just doesn't get it at all. Their shows have differing rules from week to week, and all they seem to care about is maximizing conflict and frustration. They consistently lose sight of the game, and I hope they're in for a serious wake-up call when the first Joe Millionaire II ratings come in.

I may be in the minority here but i think half the charm of this show is we don't know what the rules are, or how the winning team will win or what they will win. It's almost like an "in joke" whenever they do some twist to spice things up.

Personally i don't care if they change the rules up here and there as long as the show is entertaining. Stuff like Casino Night and "King and Queen" made things interesting in my books.

I agree CF, but probably only because the rule changes appear to have benefitted the people I like best

That's what I said too when I first heard they were doing a JM II. I bet this time the guy is really rich and everyone thinks he's just another loser (like the first guy. Man, was that guy sad).

But you're right. They'll always have contestants since some people will do anything to be on television.

Love to dislike that bug-eyed "game on" face.

I can see that happening as the producers set their sites on making more and more outrageous shows.
At least two cast members from The Real World have gotten acting gigs, including Teck having a substantial role in the awful Van Wilder movie.
