What if there's a real twist next week?

Since there are no new contestants, the roommates don't change.

And each week, instead of one person being eliminated, one roommate pair is eliminated.

Also, no episode can end without Bleepin' Amy swearing at someone.

I agree wholeheartedly with both of you. From the minute I heard that Dave and Tara would choose who roomed with who I was pretty darn sure that they would 1)seperate Keith and Charla, and 2) put them with people that would (percievably) be no threat to the bonds they have with them.
I don't doubt for one second that Tara is not (and has not been ) scheming on how she can get rid of Charla. Im just really hoping that Dave catches on to her before it happens. Keith and Charla have already voiced that she worries them and they don't completely trust her, That's why Keith is keeping her close , so he can keep an eye on what she is doing. Just my 2 cents added.

I completly agree with point #2. The only problem is Charla never leaves her room and Alex ("the fun guy)" is always out of his room. So I don't think Charla's going to be able to keep an eye on Alex as Dave wants. Plus the previews show him slutting around - and we KNOW it won't be with Charla!

Don't count Tom and Desiree out. Remember in the beginning how Alex and Kristin were rarely on screen? They kept themselves quiet and out of the way. Also, insanity is a powerful tool. If people think Tom is nuts (and Desiree must be too if she roomed with him), then they're not as much of a threat and won't be eliminated quickly.

I think until we find out how they're going to be eliminating people this is anyone's game. The producers seem to like competitions a lot lately. Maybe there will be one week to find your perfect partner, and then they'll start having couple competitions to get rid of a couple each week. And since there is only 5 weeks left, that would put us at 2 couples left for the final week.

    OK, I'll admit...

...I had no idea what was going to happen last night. Usually I can speculate with some degree of accuracy about what will happen, but I was completely clueless last night. That being said, my take on last night's show:

    1. Great play by Dave and Tara to take out Kristin and (almost) convince Amy to take herself out. I was SO hoping she would go home anyway. I don't know whether Dave and Tara planned it that way, but it was a BRILLIANT strategy. Eliminate one of your enemies (and almost another one) and expose another one to be sent home next time. I don't think Amy will stick around much longer (at least I hope not).

    2. I can see a career in politics for Davey Boy. He was totally into campaigning, right down to the backhanded dishonesty (by telling Keith to ask Amy the question about her temper and then destroying the evidence). I haven't seen him get that excited since Casino Night (and we all know how THAT one turned out).

    3. I had to laugh when Amy, Kristen, and Alex were sitting in one of the rooms and Amy was whining about how the "newbies win everything". Alex was just sitting there not saying a word and then it flashed to his vote for Tara for queen. I had to love that. Also, when Keith asked him about the cheating in Casino Night, Alex had the classic "brown shorts alert" look on his face. I did like Alex's presentation on the "fun factor" though, complete with chart. That was well done.

    4. The couples this week should be interesting, to say the least. But I have to wonder about the decision to put Charla and Alex together. Was that Dave's revenge on Charla for being a bitch to him the other day? Or was it punishment for Alex for cheating on Casino Night? None of the couples looked happy, except for Desiree and Tom (and Smokey). That might work against Dave and Tara in the end if all the unhappy couples band together to eliminate the ones that put them in that predicament.

4b. mischief4911 brought up a good point about not trusting Tara. This ties in with point 4, so I labelled it 4b. I've never thought Tara could be trusted, and I think that even more after last night. After I thought about it, it looks to me like Tara may be trying to boot Charla so she can move in on Keith. Even Keith doesn't trust her though, so that may not work in the end. I hate to repeat mischief4911's post, but it's such a good point that I thought to include it here. I also think Tara's playing the game to win, and if that means she has to backstab her "friends" to do it, then she will.

Actually, it's probably a very smart move on Dave's part. It seperates Charla from Kieth, and Dave wants to be here to the end. Giving Charla and Kieth too much time together would ruin that possibility. If Tara would pick him over Kieth and Charla would pick him over Kieth, his place in winning is sealed.

I agree. They were obviously 'playing' everyone with their little roomate arrangement and they wont get any bonus points for that. If they really wanted to push Amy off, why didnt they room her with Keith? Would that have been too obvious a gambit? They acted like dictators (and Dave was being a total ass. Obviously his 'power' in the last couple of weeks has completely gone to his head) and it will hurt them in the long run. After last night, I dont think there is anyway Dave will make it to the end. In fact, I wouldnt be surprised if hes gone within the next 2 weeks.

Actually, the only thing that they really shook up was Charla and Alex, and Charla knows that she needs Dave and Tara for her plan to work. Tom and Desiree are probably happy, Holly and Scott have been seperated before, Kieth probably wants to work on getting Holly on their side anyways, and Amy is on her way out of the door.

I guess my point is that it was overt, heavy-handed manipulation which is not a smart way to go about things, especially when you know your power is only temporary.

True, but they could have done alot worse. Can you imagine Amy with Kieth, Holly with Tom again, and Des with Scott? They would have managed to split up a newly forming couple, another couple (even though they've already been split up before), and pissed off four people, two of which are in their alliance. That would have endangered them. But right now I think that everyone (except for maybe Alex and Charla) will get over the selection. It's not a gigantic change, really.
