Maria impressed me when she ran to Jack's side, when he found out that the girls had to vote one of their own off. The other girls were complaining, but Maria was sincerely worried about Jack. I liked that quality in her. Also shows a go-getter in her. I don't understand why the others got upset.. they really need to take this game seriously and be a bit more aggressive and stop whining about Marissa or Maria when they make steps toward winning Jack over. Isn't that why they are here??

I think some of them forgot why they're in the Outback! I like Maria too - she seems to be the only one who's "looking after" Jack! Everyone else seems to think his purpose on the show is to look after them!

I know editing plays a huge role in how we perceive these girls, but I'm not sure how much Maria can blame editing on her behavior. Last week she could have been totally set up to go to Jack's hotel room, so I'll ignore that one. But otherwise she comes across trashy and insecure.
