OUTBACK JACK Episode 1 Tuesday, June 22 9 p.m. (ET/PT)
ATLANTA, June 10 /PRNewswire/ -- TBS, television's "very funny" network,
is set to parachute 12 beautiful but pampered women into the rugged Australian
wilderness in the premiere episode of the outrageous new reality series
OUTBACK JACK Tuesday, June 22, at 9 p.m. (ET/PT). For the next eight weeks,
this series from Bruce Nash's Nash Entertainment (Meet My Folks, For Love or
Money, Who Wants To Marry My Dad?) will put the women to the test as they vie
for the affections of their rugged leading man. OUTBACK JACK, hosted by JD
Roberto (Shop Til You Drop, Shark Chasers), combines fish-out-of-water comedy
with romance and adventure, making for plenty of unexpected twists and turns.
The premiere episode of OUTBACK JACK opens with an introduction to the 12
female contestants at a Los Angeles mansion. The girls think they are staying
at this beautiful home, but are instead whisked away to Australia, unaware of
what lies in store. At the end of their flight, they are told the premise of
the show and that they will have to skydive in order to meet the Australian
hunk, "Jack" (athlete-outdoorsman Vadim Dale), whose admiration they are
battling to receive.
After each woman decides if she will jump or not, those who choose to take
the plunge are sent out the door of the plane into the middle of one of the
most rugged terrains on the planet. It is there that they meet Jack and follow
him back to the station that will serve as home base. Following a meet-and-
greet at dinner, Jack has to decide which contestants to eliminate. Only eight
will continue for the next leg of the adventure.
Among the many surprises that come up in the premiere episode is an
unexpected twist that jeopardizes the fate of one of the women.
Nash is one of the most creative and prolific producers in television. His
company, Nash Entertainment, is responsible for some of the top-rated reality
programs on television and is expanding into scripted series, with such
recently announced projects as If the South Won the Civil War, as well as
several feature film projects.
TBS is television's "very funny" network, serving as home to such hot
contemporary comedies as Seinfeld and Friends, with Sex and the City,
Everybody Loves Raymond, Family Guy and Yes, Dear joining the line-up this
summer; high-profile original reality series, such as the upcoming projects
The Real Gilligan's Island and The Mansion; blockbuster movies; and hosted
movie showcases. TBS also offers action-packed sports from the worlds of Major
League Baseball and Pac 10 and Big 12 college football.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and predict that they all jump.
After each woman decides if she will jump or not,
(Oh alright, I counted the chicks in the photo.)
:lol Well yeah...unless that photo was taken in a studio!
no way! they don't do fake rocks and scenery that good in a studio
these girls are just JUMPING at the chance to date a hunk on a tv show
OK, I just couldn't resist that lame attempt at humor. I do like the sky diving part of the show though, makes it a little more interesting than arriving by limo.
I think what will be funny about this show is the clothes!!
These women packed thinking they'd be living in a mansion in LA?? Not too many opportunities to wear glittery evening gowns on the Outback! :lol
I'm just wondering about the wisdom of short-shorts and bare midrifts in the snake-and-spider infested outback. I might have taken Vadim's lead and kept myself well covered.
yeah but we wouldn't enjoy the scenery as well :lol
