I remember this affair happening after (or during?) the "The Great American Baking Competition" here in the US (which is how I learned about the show). I can't remember where I read about it back then, but I keep meaning to come here and mention it!
Those blue eyes! I mean, who could resist them??

The twinkle in those eyes and that little smile right before he guts you. Yum.

I am in London at the moment, and there are commercials for what looks to be a one-time follow-up show about this recent season's winner. Hope we get it in the US because it looks wonderful.

Yeah, they have been doing that since season 4 (which I recently finished watching), they do an episode to showcase what happened the previous season and what the contestants have been doing since. And season 7 begins airing in a few days, I hope I can find a way to watch it!

New season is currently airing in the UK but, after that, they are going to be in for an upheaval. The show producers have sold the show to Channel 4 (it was formerly on BBC) and the show hosts (Mel and Sue) have quit the show as a result.

Before we begin, what are the parameters of the guessing game? How many guesses do I get? Is there a time limit?

No Mel and Sue? Man, that's going to make it less fun to watch. But I'll give it a shot and watch it if it's on American TV.

That is a shame. I hope they can get replacements that have a sense of humor too.

I hate that the format is changing. It's so charming the way it is.

My DVR automatically recorded a new/post-script episode, from the season that just aired, last week and I just got around to watching (just the first half) last night.
It's title is "Masterclass 1" so I don't know if there will be more, but it was fun to watch. It has some clips from the season's challenges, but then it has Mary and Paul baking some of the challenges themselves. And I have to say, boy, Mr. Blue Eyes has that flirtatious twinkle in his eye even when he talks to Mary!

Paul and Mary Berry might also not be on the new show.
