    Sophie’s cake looked soooo yummy.

I hope you Americans get it shown there - all the fears about the new hosts were misplaced. The new judge was also good, though not as good as Mary I think.

As much as I like this thread, I have been avoiding it to not be spoiled as I was last series. I am glad the changes are working out though. Can't wait to see it.

Netflix has added the "U.S." season 4 ( the most recent on PBS ) to their cache of Great British Bake Off.

Don't worry, we were very careful to only discuss the bakes and not give anything away! You can read but not get spoiled.

I read elsewhere online that Mary Berry now does a show that involves visits to some of the great castles and manors of England. They mentioned that in one episode, she visits Highclere House ("Downton Abbey"). Since we were there a couple of years ago, and since I LOVE Mary Berry, I found it on youtube and spent 57 glorious minutes watching the episode.

Just go to youtube and search on Mary Berry Highclere House . . .

I watched 3 episodes of Season 8 of the Great British Baking Show while on a British Airlines flight yesterday. I really enjoyed the new cast, and Pru--who replaces Mary Berry--fits the role beautifully. The contestants are also a very talented & personable group.

It was really good. Channel 4 has a deal with Netflix for some of their shows; hopefully we will get the latest season soon because I want to rewatch.

I hope so, too. Yesterday I started watching the Netflix season 1 again.
