Definitely not a luxury resort hotel.
I used that term in my post because that's how it was described in the opening, both verbally and visually. I have no personal experience with the place. Patti's club location changed two or three times when the show was on Bravo and now again on this network, and each time we are led to believe the accommodations get more posh and luxurious.

AlwaysVeg, I wasn't criticizing you. I quoted the term because that's what they called it during the show. Sorry for any misunderstanding. But it is a very nondescript hotel. If people in Southern California want luxury, they go to Vegas, not to the casinos locally.

Did not like this version...the luxury hotel and the concierge seemed a little over the top. The guy with all the plastic surgery was creepy looking and pitiful. The Colombian woman wouldn't kiss the guy on her first date? Really? she looked like she normally does a lot more on a first date then kiss! By the way, Patti wasn't engaged to David Krause. They were living together and he gave her a promise ring a few years ago. Could she possibly get more Botox and cosmetic work done?

It was ironic that she gave the plastic surgery guy a big lecture about caring too much how he looks, when her face looks pretty plastic, too ... of course, she hasn't had 288 procedures from head to toe as he has! She must be in her mid-50s now, and her face is starting to look almost as creepy as his. Future episodes might be different, but this one was pretty boring without a few screaming Patti-meltdowns.

Ugh! Cannot stand this show! Everything is so fake! Conversations, helpers, Patti, fake fake fake. I tried to watch til the end twice! I turned it off both times feeling nauseous, like I ate too many Doritos.
The hotel....is really scraping the bottom of the barrel. Poor Patti gets lower budget every year. Next year she be at the Motel 6.
This is one show I'll be glad to skip!

I dunno -- the hotel didn't seem all that bad to me. Probably since I can't afford to stay at super fancy places, lol.

From what I read on-line, the plastic surgery guy was recently married for a couple years. Interesting that I don't think they brought that up on the show. Seems like it would have been relevant. I guess the show can't afford to have an actual Psychiatrist or Psychologist to give the daters advice, so now Patti will do it all, lol.

I react to Patti the same as I do to Judge Judy. "Woa, I can't believe she can say that to someone and get paid for it." I overhear the judge from my hubby's TV; I record MM for kitchen chore time. It's exactly the same: I don't sit down to watch, and I can't believe my ears.

I was turned off right away. I actually enjoyed it when it was on BRAVO, but the contestants this time were so over the top and Patty/her crew so pretentious I couldn't get past the intro.

I miss how the client used to give some more background information about themselves. I noticed they haven't said how the person became successful, if in fact they are successful.

I thought that was so ridiculous how they wheeled out the woman's "baggage" and then had her burn the items. Seemed like a waste of a dress, running shoes and a tiara.

I like the question and answer part of the potential daters.

The Destin and Rachel part seemed fabricated. Have to wonder if they really hadn't had any contact. Definitely possible, but there was something "off" about the whole scene. I like Rachel's hair a lot better now
than when she used to have a bright pink curl on her forehead, but what was up with that ratty t-shirt?

I happened to run across a little of one episode. I was curious so I watched just a bit. I was surprised to see Dustin and Rachel. It seems like they haven't grown much. I have always wondered how they expect to be treated like professionals, but it hasn't changed. They just turn me off. So sad that Dustin and Rachel were so close and lost contact suddenly for no real reason. ODD and probably not true. I may check it out later or maybe not. Are Dustin and Rachel going to be continuing guests?
