I totally agree, I mean he helped the team get to the finale. He helped the team win all those evolutions. He helped the team win the advantage for the last circus. He was in the actual finale and he outlasted Haze in the last finale endurance challenge. I think he earned it. The rules are stupid. If they were not going to let the top team win then they should have let the 4 remaining people win the money. It comes across as cheap and sorta cheating on the part of the producers.

    Season 2

American Grit is back for Season 2 this time on Sunday night. Although I had watched season 1 I was not that impressed and was not planing to watch season 2, however, I still had it programmed in my DVR and I watched it while I let my hair dry. I was surprised the producers changed up the premise a bit and made it about helping people who needed to find their grit. I was liked most of the cast and their issues. They also changed up the Cadre, the 4 folks leading the teams. The only person I didn't like was one of the cast, named Sherman. What an a$$, what a difficult personality, the one voted to most likely kill someone and for an incredibly stupid reason. The majority of the cast were either couch potatoes, nerds or so anxiety driven I was amazed they could even be there. Of course there are a few ringers, like one of George Foreman's sons, a East Indian who is on a spiritual journey, and some bland white dude with a beard and there is an older version. Of course one of the Cadre, Grady Powell stacks his team with the 4 strongest and fittest dudes and one extremely small petit female they can all carry over their shoulders.

I like this version of the show and will watch next week.

Poor Alison has to be on Shermon's team.
I remember Grady from some Alaska competition show. He definitely had grit and competitiveness.
In the previews, the cadre don't seem to like each other. Last season, they had camaraderie.

Grady did NBC's Stars Earn Stripes, National Geographic's Ultimate Survival Alaska, and Discovery channel's Dual Survival.

    Season 2 Episode 1 - "Find Your Grit" - June 11, 2017

    per wiki

At the new location known as Camp Grit, John Cena and the new cadre meet the 17 new competitors. Cena tells them that there are only 16 beds in the cabin, and that one contestant will go home before the team challenges start. The contestants race around a lake to claim one of the beds. The next day, the contestants are hung upside down over a lake, and the first person to give up will be eliminated. After over 30 minutes of the players being repeatedly dunked in the lake, no one gives up, and Cena ends the contest with no one eliminated. On day three, the contestants must spin a beach ball over their heads until the cadre picks them for a team and only 16 players will be on the teams. Eventually, Heather is not chosen for a team and she is eliminated.

    ELIMINATED: Heather Pincelli
Good start. 90% look like couch potatoes or nervous wrecks with an hardcase thrown in. Liked the change up to the format.

I hope Heather is incredibly proud of herself for surviving the head dunking, I wish the producers hadn't thrown in the twist of getting too many contestants, let them have the experience of surviving the head dunk, being chosen, participating in a challenge and then facing elimination.

Sherman is going to be nothing but trouble. It's a shame that they kept him over the woman that needed to find her own grit in order to tell her cheating husband to take a hike.

Nathalie eliminated. I'm glad it wasn't George. I want to see more of him, and why he is even on this show. Seems like he already has grit.

George needs to find his own identity. Imagine being one of several brothers and you are all named George, along with your father. Instead of being treated as individuals it seems they are being treated as one of many that makes up a whole. George Sr and his wife did not do the sons any favor by not giving them their own names.

    Season 2 Episode 3 - "Liar Liar" - June 25, 2017

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Grit#Season_2

The Team Challenge has the four teams blindfolded and in a canoe race where they must navigate a series of gates while being led by one member designated as team captain who is able to see. Team Grady wins the race and Grady chooses the other three team captains, Gill, Janessa and Hannah, for the Elimination Challenge. In this challenge, the contestants have a set of four wheels slightly separate from one another which they must constantly keep spinning. The first contestant to have a wheel stop spinning is eliminated. After over an hour of endurance, one of Gill's wheels stops turning and she is eliminated.

    ELIMINATED: Gill Morton
I did feel that there is a lot of down time of this show and I don't necessarily enjoy that I want to see challenges. I don't think the title of this episode is that appropriate. It is pretty obvious that they (editors and producers) are setting up Alison as this big malicious liar and they have shown two scenes with her contradicting herself in what she had said previously. When the Melanie and Herman were under the bungalow flirting and later the next day John Cena drove off with Melanie, Alison was speculating that Melanie was in trouble. That was not the case, it was speculation, a bit of gossip that of course got exaggerated when it got spread around. When you are in a small environment like that people talk. Does Alison misuse her words? Maybe? Does she mis-remember? It seems so? Is it malicious? At this point it does not seem so. Does it get Alison in trouble? Probably. Is it something Alison needs to change? I think so. Overall this is a situation that get get out of hand very quickly.

I was surprised that Gill was eliminated but at least I don't have to listen to her confess to her affair every 5 minutes.
