I still like her. I like her heart.
Even if the fingernails are still keep-away scary.

In the beginning was the WORD. Without definition there was nothing. We define the words.

    Re: Long Island Medium

I wonder if the relationship strain is due to her ever-increasing popularity and all the time she is away from home doing the celebrity readings and Casino shows? This summer my MIL, and two DILs went to Thunder Valley Casino, nearish to Sacramento, to see her show. They had seats way back in a large room filled with adoring fans. Theresa was able to have a few readings for a few close to the front. The rest was a 'lecture' type prepared filler about how she does what she does and what does it all mean? I don't think I asked what the tickets cost, so I don't know.

I worry that those managing her career may be in the "strike while the iron is hot" promotional mode (everybody makes money! $$$) and might be pushing her to do so much that her familial relationships are suffering. You can see that Theresa is just absolutely tinkled pink over becoming such a celebrity. But the Theresa that I, maybe 'we', fell in love with is Theresa who had readings in her home or at a family/friend group in a private home, and most especially - walking into the bakery, or any establishment to get a something-or-other and her lips begin to twitch and she homes in on the employee whose loved one chose, just by happenstance, this opportunity to get a message from beyond passed to them by Theresa. They seem to be great 'affirmations'! I'm sold on her gift.

But, things have changed. Casino shows? OMG! Early Long Island Medium depicted a very different 'Theresa' than I'm seeing now. I loved this unusually talented woman and her family. I won't take kindly to the destruction of a marriage and family for the pursuit of money and celebrity. Reality TV. It can change you. Flee Theresa, flee while you can and keep your family over cash or fame.

I really liked their relationship and the family relations we've seen up to now. I want them to work out their problems, and don't go getting me all upset over their troubles. Or, I'm outta' here.

She is coming to do a show in my area on April 21 and there are still tickets. I haven't seen her TV show, do you guys think it would be worthwhile to see her? The tickets are about $80. Well Punkin, it sounds like from what you heard it sounds like not worthwhile. The only seats available are in the back now.

I think I can guarentee what happened to this marraige. I noticed Larry was in the first ep. of this new season, when they were hanging out w/ 25yo "gym-rats" lifting weights. Then he wasn't in the next 2. With Theresa so busy and larry always admired, i wonder if he got his head turned for just a moment. It happens, men are weak. Especially at his age. I hope they can go to marraige counseling. She did become way too wrapped up on touring, as is evidenced by the long gap btw. tv seasons. maybe Larry was just feeling a little left out. The shameless display of wealth doesn't help. Men hate that, when their wives are out-earning them & Larry's been in "semi-retirement" for a long time, now. And I just have to say, I hate that b/w living room! It looks like the waiting room for a cardiologist!
Anyway, I think they are separated.

Something else occured to me, too.
Theresa is the breadwinner in the family. maybe someone said something & he thought oh, sh*t, that's right & it got under his skin. Psychologists say that's a very touchy thing for men. It emasculates them. I don't know if it's a coincidnce, but the re-run on at 4 today was about Larry & his man cave. he said, "You've taken over the whole house. This is the only space i have." maybe TLC is trying to create drama, or maybe... looks qenuine to me...they are really having marital issues but I'll bet one of these 2 issues is at the root of it.

Wow, I must admit, I thought it was a little show-driven drama. Guess I was wrong. That's too bad, because I think they're a good couple. Reality shows are hard on marriages.
