I liked the way they handled getting the plane tickets. They were limited because they could only go on Air Canada but instead of just having it be first come and first served, they had an inventive twist, with those who had to/chose to put their hands in the containers with the more dangerous animals at the conservatory getting the better tickets. Good idea.

Of course it wouldn't be the Race without a team or two not reading the clues correctly. And getting lost.

Didn't like the two sisters who freaked out at both tasks and then called the other team "suckers." Like the gay cowboys, the soldier and his brother, father and son, married doctors and, of course, Hal and Joanne.

I want them to have to do the skeleton with Jon Montgomery.

Anyone going to enter the Air Canada Cheer to Win contest? First prize is a year's worth of executive travel on Air Canada worldwide. Pretty sweet.

I'm totally rooting for the hippie team. They look like they were made for this.

I like Hal and Joanne, but I hope that was the LAST time I have to hear them say "keep fit, and have fun" on this race.

I really liked the brothers... when the one with the prosthetics did the beam I was amazed. I had the same feeling about the father with Parkinson's. I was amazed, he was the least shaky out there! Along with the hippies, they round out my favourite three teams so far.

See, I didn't really care for the hippies. But I agree with you regarding the dad and soldier.

There's a box on the right hand side of the CTV Amazing Race page. It opened up at 10 pm ET. There's other contests too - for Blackberry and Interac.

Was it because they want to open some kind of self-sufficient, independent village of some sort when it's all over? Cause I found that a little odd too. I think I like them because a few of the other teams underestimate them... but I think they'll be great and have a good attitude for the race so far.

I think it's because I really don't like his hair. Dreads can be fine but his were just off-putting. /shallow

I love dreads. Not because I'm less shallow than you, but because I think they're cool, mahn.

The veteran is from my neighbourhood. I didn't even know he was trying out until I saw it in our community paper.
