It sounds like next week ALLSTARS will start.

All the episodes are fascinating. But looking at the review show, it is obvious how punishing it is to the body. On the regular show, I know one lady and man both had to deal with lasting skin problems, and the woman's hair was falling out. I wonder if that was specific to that couple because they ate the worm infested camon, or whether the other have hair falling out issues. I am guessing that these ones that go on show after show, must not have the hair fall out issues....but punishing for sure.

They've all starved. few have even known to keep themselves covered with clay/mud vs the bugs. You want a Cold Steel shovel (modified to have a real saw edge) a paracord hammock and a ferrorod (if the area is damp). If it's dry, there's no need to waste a pick on ferro rod. You can start fire with a bow drill. So take a container if it's hot, or take one of SOL's escape bivvies if the area has cold nights. . You can boil water in a clay-lined hole in the ground, or a hole chopped in a tree stump or log, by the use of hot rocks. If allowed, I'd take one of chief Aj's slingbows, and half a dozen arrows, half of them to be 4-tined fishing heads. This would be in place of the ferrorod, container or Bivvy. You can weave vegetation to make matts, to be worn or sleep on/under. But a truly effective projectile weapon is very hard to make in the field, with nothing but a knife and cordage. In any case, make sandals, throwing sticks, spears, ASAP, along with a sling to carry the spear over your shoulder, and a belt with which to carry the throwing/digging stick.

I'd have drowned Honora, first thing. :-) In the big group, is each one still allowed to bring one item? If so, and especially if each pair is given a machete, cook pot, or ferrorod, they should have a LOT of gear, many bug nets, paracord hammocks (access the 7000 ft of inner strands for making nets) BIGGER cookpots. It looked like one brought his bow, from his previous show, the skinny guy with the gal who'd gotten sick from half cooked turtle. You cut off parts of the turtle and BOIL them (well) in your pot, folks. Ditto anything else that you eat. They could have brought duct tape, (extremely useful for making containers, fletching arrows or atalatl darts, making sandals, making headcovers, making fire in wet weather.

if you can find a warthog burrow, and catch them in it, put the hammocks over all but one exit, everyone with spears stand ready, then start a smoky fire in the one opening. Hogs run out of the other holes, , get entangled and speared. hog meat spoils rapidly in the heat, so you can't eat more than one of them right away, even with a big group. So just leave the rest of them tied up, and water them until it's their turn. You can make potassium salts from hardwood ashes, and cure meat with it, but the process is slow and involved. Hogs can't sweat, so they overheat easily. Keep the captive hogs as calm as possible, in the shade, with plenty of access to water.

Having a few paracord hammocks in the group would have let them trap big game, or they could unravel the hammocks, remove the outer sheathing and weave a LOT of fish nets from the 7 inner strands. That netting can catch birds, small animals, fish, crabs, all sorts of stuff. Just wrap it around box-frames made out of saplings. bait the traps with shredded cambium or fish guts. you just dont belong on survival shows if you dont know this basic stuff.

The ones that eat a lot in prep appear to be sluggish for a week making the skinnies mad. They get up and work when the skinnies are out of gas........that you are not working fight

Love love this show I have thought about what they should bring....and why do more of them not make shoes
